ElTerprise: I don't really have a preference. But i don't had too many exams in the first place as my main subject is geography which is focused a lot on presentations and seminar papers to compile.
avatar
moonshineshadow: Ok that is great. I wished I had stuff like that. For me it was exams for everything, which tended to lead to some stressful phases :D
I quite like it. But don't get me wrong. Writing seminar papers can also be stressful (especially if one tends to start late with them ;) ).
My computer can't run Pillars of Eternity :(
Anyway, anyone knows a way on how to crack the back? I'm needing it.

Of course, but I think that is probably similar to writing conference or journal papers and while it can be stressful I enjoy that much more than the stupid exams I had to take :D

moonshineshadow: One of these fans might have been me. I tend to joke that the author will die before he finishes the series if he continues with this slow pace :P
I know you were one of them, but I have heard a few others mention that as well on here. I can't for the life of me remember who it was on here that had a big rant about it. Oh well, I guess lots of fans are annoyed at the author.

moonshineshadow: Yeah I am just not that interested in watching TV. I almost never watch movies, sometimes some crime series (since there always is some being shown) if I just want to relax on the sofa since for them you don't need to know the episodes before :D
Oh and I sometimes watch cooking shows. Normally when I can't sleep, they are so relaxing that I most of the time end up falling asleep on the sofa :P
My partner loves crime shows and thrillers. When we are just relaxing on an evening I am sometimes reading a book while she is watching TV. But often we are both just boring and sit in front of the fire and talk :-), or both reading, or cooking, or lots of other stuff. I don't think any of us have ever been big TV/movie watchers, but my partner is definitely more into TV and movies than I am.

I can't run Pillars either.
I lean way back over a low backed chair to stretch my back. If it hurts too much to do that see a doctor instead, don't injure yourself.

True. Writing papers is a more creative process imho.

That's a shame about Pillars of Eternity. Was it a game you were looking forward to?

As for cracking backs, I have no clue.

I found the perfect way of dealing with exam stress, and that was not to go to the exams. I even got an 'A' for a couple of them, which pleased me until I found out it meant 'Absent.' That part of my life was hard - home life, school life, life life. So I got kicked out of school, had some time to think, and then went and studied to get into art college, by which time I wanted to learn and it was a pleasure. I prefer to do things my own way and have found it gets me the best results. I'v had some interesting jobs, had some of my writing published, exhibited paintings in good London galleries and met some like-minded people, so it works if I apply myself.

CarrionCrow: Well, fingers crossed that your new OS will turn out to be the right long-term choice.
Having to do tech support, switching back and forth from one miserable piece of crap to another is no fun at all.

-laughs- That works too.

Stilton: I spoke too soon. Mint went bitter from the get go ;-( And I mean very pear-shaped and very un-minty...

So it got binned.

I'm currently using on old typewriter wired to a portable TV while the Shieldmaiden hangs out of a window with another wire and a coat hanger in her other hand.

And amazingly it works!!!!

Okay, I'm happy now. What's been happening, anything interesting? Hm?
Crap. That's tech for you.

That is pretty amazing, to be sure. One question, though - just how long will the shieldmaiden be willing to hang out the window before she says to hell with it and goes off to do something else? =)

I know just the thing for a bad back, and it fits in nicely with all this talk of Ds. What you need is a good rack. That would get your back straight in no time. :-)

EndreWhiteMane: Doing OK, wondering if GOG would take back about 300 games.
This download thing is getting out of hand;)
avatar
moonshineshadow: That is why I switched to downloading the games and patches almost instantly since even downloading 100 games was no fun :D
I've been doing that most of the time but I've totally lost track of updates, etc. Just wanted to start over and then keep things up better.
May have changed my mind at this point though. :-)

Unfortunately that's not an option for me. It's the only thing left before getiting my bachelor's degree as i just got my grade for my bachelor thesis.

Looks like something Crow might like when he can't decide which game to torture himself with. :-)

Could you not just check the file version with the one on your GOG shelf? If it is the same number then would that not mean you have the latest version?

She's got the constitution of an ox and she likes a bit of fresh air, even at approaching midnight, so she's probably good for a few more hours yet ;-)
