EndreWhiteMane: You don't have a whole lot of games, but you have mostly very good ones.
MUCH more sensible than my "collection". :-)

But she added 'looks nice' we just go with the 'on sale' part. :-)
avatar
CarrionCrow: Well, not only that, you go with 'on sale'. I go with 'on sale' and sometimes the addition of 'wow, that looks like total shit, let's buy it'.
Well, I do own Hatoful Boyfriend ...
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Yes, I see you got hit really hard.
I'm expecting Grargar to appear anytime.

So do I. So does Endre. Still need to mail him some apology cookies or something to make up for setting a really bad example and buying it in the first place.

Additional - I have to take issue with the opening to Legend of Grimrock.

My characters are at the top of a huge mountain with a hole in the top. They all get thrown into said hole. They landed on a primitive rock/quasi-brick/mortar combo.

Either all my characters should be dead on impact, or the game should start with a HUGE pile of broken bodies, all the other prisoners that had been thrown into the hole, being used to cushion their fall.

I'm a sucker for visual novels, even the crap ones. I even played through all of the Heileen games, and those made me want to bash my head against my desk at times.

Interesting. I can't stand the things. I bought Hatoful because I absolutely knew it was going to be bad.
I have a habit of making purchases like that.

Although, it is refreshing to see someone with a bit of a similar masochistic bent to my own. =)

As long as you don't expect me to actually PLAY Hatoful we're OK. ;)
Yeah, I had to wince at that little crash to the rocks thing too. :-)

Oh dear gods no. I don't expect anyone to play that. (Except for myself...)

Yes, it's a pretty silly start to what's supposed to be a dire situation.

Haha yes, although I think you subject yourself to horrible games far more often than I do. :P I think it's mostly that I really want those games to be good, but they often turn out to be really terrible, and then I force myself to keep playing in hopes that it might get better or something. Of course, that usually doesn't happen. :)

And what does LLAP stand for?

Generally speaking, once you're at the forcing yourself to continue stage, that's the end of any kind of positive experience.
Hi all, I'm back for more chat, abuse, whining, obscenity and general chuckles (who I see is here... Its a long story, don't ask...)

A couple of hours ago I wasn't all Minty. but now I am!

(What the hell am I talking about? Who is this idiot with wings for ears?)

Well, I was having a Linux conversation earlier with one of our more esteemed members (the aforementioned General Chuckles), and he suggested I give Linux Mint a go, which I did/have/am, hence the Minty hinty just now.

I have to say I rather like it, although that could change at any moment, operating systems and my lack of patience being what they are. But for now, thank you GC, your suggestion was a good 'un ;-)

Well, fingers crossed that your new OS will turn out to be the right long-term choice.
Having to do tech support, switching back and forth from one miserable piece of crap to another is no fun at all.

-laughs- That works too.

*sigh*

A really quick search says you're right. Now I feel like an idiot for not thinking of it, and for not doing a search before asking.
