l0rdtr3k: Hello genki. I won't enter because my backlog is kinda big right now but good luck to those who entered and I've +1 the OP.
You could always pop by and participate without being in ;D

AgentBirdnest: Of course I wasn't mad, you silly little bird :-p ... A personal issue popped up, and I had to step away for a little while.

EndreWhiteMane: Is that like 'other things'?

A family problem. I'm alright, no worries.
I don't think I can beat that hug... so, just have a **really big and friendly hug**

LaPtiteBete: How does it come that you still don't have a public wishlist... huh ? ;-)
Indeed! I want to see that list, no matter how short it is!

I got one of those, once, from a friend whom I'd not seen in a long time. He threw his arms wide, and completely crushed me when they closed upon me. I felt something pop painfully... and it didn't stop hurting for about eight months ^_^; Pretty sure he cracked a rib. On the plus side, I now know to be careful not to hug people too firmly~! ;D

Kinda like me,I love some bear hugs.
At least virtual bear hugs won't break anything :P

Okay, for those who are interested - Owl, Moon, Hyper - I do hang around on crochet websites.

There, the truth is out.

And if you want to know why, it all started a couple of years ago when we had some seriously high winds up here in The Blustery North. I was out one evening chopping wood and, to cut a long story short, a particularly strong gust came out of nowhere and blew my beard off. As there was the annual (and very important) Viking Festival of the Long Beards the next day I had no choice but to ask my Shieldmaiden to knit me one. She laughed and told me to do it myself (she loves me really) and so I had to get some quick pointers and turned to Google for help. There were luckily a lot of sites to choose from and by three the next morning I had created a beard that I was pretty proud of (check avatar). The festival was a success and my secret was secure! But by then I'd been bitten by the yarn bug and, well, now I just can't stop.

Its a sordid tale, I know, but I feel secure enough to share it with you. I hope you'll understand...

-You have to have the Barefoot Essentials script to sync your account with GOGwiki.
-Send a PM to Barefoot_Monkey and ask him/her to set up a wiki account for you.
-Once you have an account, you can edit your page. There are some instructions here for that, or you can just copy/paste a template from someone else and edit your own information in.
-Once you are running Barefoot Essentials and have a wiki account, there will be an option in the "Essentials" section of your GOG account tab. There is a button to share your library and wishlist.

I think I got that right... Someone step in to correct me or add anything I left out.

Cool~! Did you know that the amazing actor Henry Honda used to knit between his scenes?

I like to crochet, too -- When I first learned, I was putting out a baby blanket at least every week. I should start again -- Doernbechers Hospital would love the donations~!

Thanks for the information! I installed the script and I've sent a PM to Barefoot_Monkey. :)

That's awesome! Crocheting is pretty cool, I know someone who can do it really well and I think it's so impressive. I've been working on some embroidery in my spare time, but I'm still very much a beginner.

What a great piece of information - Henry Fonda's one of the last people I'd expect to be into knitting. I found a picture of how he cut his yarns:

Okay...think I've caught up now, so good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone.

Here's some gentle coffee music to help the day along. =)

Hello, FearfulSymmetry, I don't think I've ever 'typed' to you before. Nice to meet you ;-) How are you?

And your real name is a palindrome! I like palindromes. I got all excited when it was 2002 (the year my daughter was born - I got all excited about that, too).

Some of the things people can make out of a continuous length of yarn are incredible. My better half works for a knitting magazine and some of the garments she brings home from work are amazing. Real art made by people I have serious respect for. And its a pleasantly natural/traditional creative form, too. All around good in my book ;-)
