CarrionCrow: Good morning. =)

Well, the rental playthrough of Shadowrun Returns says I put 18 hours into it. I get distracted sometimes and minimize games, though, so I'd put 18 hours as a high-end estimate.
Dragonfall has more content, more stuff to do, so maybe 24? Neither one are enormous grind-filled sprawling timekillers.

From a GOG review I saw, the person put Halfway at roughly 12-14 hours, I just started Paper Sorcerer so I couldn't say on that but you could ask Moonshine whenever she's around since she's actually finished that one, Arcanum is supposed to be pretty big, I think I saw an estimate for Pier Solar at 25-30 hours, and Tales of Maj'Eyal is supposed to be a massive time-destroyer, hundreds of hours of content.

Aside from me trying to drown you in text, how's your day going? -laughs-
Thanks Crow, that's exactly what I was looking for. Just saw a review of Halfway in the Games Finished thread which says it's excellent and relatively easy on a first play through, so easy and a short play through means that one might be next, then Shadowrun.
I'll see what Moon says about Paper Sorcerer.

I'm fine, thank you. Had a brilliant night last night, if they are all like that things are definitely looking up.

How about you?

How are you doing today?

Soccorro: I'm fine, how are you? :)
Can't complain too much. Digging through my stockpile to see what catches my eye, trying to pick out the next chunk of backlog to clear, in between watching a horror series called Darknet on Netflix that's pretty good.

Comparatively easy and short sounds like it'll be a good change of pace from grinding your way through the tar pit known as Lords of Xulima.

Glad to hear that things went so well. Will continue to keep fingers crossed that you keep on getting coin, since Nintendo games continue to be expensive. ;)

Seriously wishing GOG would stop breaking what isn't broken.

Let's try that post again...

I'm thinking I'll go with original since I never had a chance to play it when it first came out. Later on I'll try the remake, see how it looks.

Actually LoX hasn't been that difficult for most of the game, I think I seriously overlevelled (as usual) so the middle of the game was largely a cake walk. Unfortunately most of the enemies are now dead so it's harder to grind and the ones that are left are harder so it's getting tougher again.
But even when the combat is easy it's drawn out.. hence why it's taking so long to finish (that and Gaulen moves sooooo slowly!)

Thanks :)
My gaming addiction isn't going to pay for itself... ;)

Good morning!

...actually I'm going to sleep, it's 3 AM over here, so good night! :P

Gaulen just sucks in general. Or at least, they did when I played that game. His identity crisis made him mediocre at everything except gathering plants.

Not a problem. =)
I know the feeling, believe me. Got a relative to try Bravely Default, just do I could have an early chance at playing it. -laughs-
If I'm lucky, that relative will end up liking JRPG-type games, of which there are a shitload on the 3/DS, and their purchases will help supplement my own library after I get a handheld in a few months.

Going to sleep at 3? The middle of the night is the fun part.

Goodnight, sleep well. =)

He is indeed highly mediocre, but he gets a poisoning attack so I usually just spam that with him. If I did another run I would be tempted to just go for a mix of fighters and clerics as fighters do the most damage by far and if you had a couple of clerics to keep them healed up I imagine it might be fairly easy.

Bravely Default is an odd one, I loved it, but I love JRPG grinding. The big problem is its one huge flaw is also an integral part of the story so I can't tell you about it without spoiling things. But the 3DS (and original DS) are a treasure trove of JRPGs in general, loads of awesome games.
*good morning hugs and waves* Hope everyone is doing fine.
G'morning all of you wonderful peeps.
Good mornoon... *big hugs for Moon and Blob* ... *friendly wave to the lurkers hiding in the corner*

How are you doing?
