CarrionCrow: snip..
That's one of the things I like about the Shadowrun games. They're enjoyable, but you don't need hundreds of dollars in upgrades to play them.
Goddamn, I wish Hong Kong was out already.

EndreWhiteMane: Just loaded Shadowrun Returns last night and will play with it tomorrow.
That gets me up to 15 installed, enough for now me thinks. ;)
Can I give you a small piece of advice regarding that game?

Anyone that the game pumps up as being some legendary guy, and that guy ends up on your team?
If your game goes like mine did, they will end up sucking. Really, really badly. -laughs-

Also, adepts are boring. If you go that route, supplement their facepunching abilities with spells or guns.

Got it. Thanks. ;)
I remember your comments when you played as the complete arsehole. :-)

Sure are a lot of GOGbears around here lately. :/

-laughs- One of the few times I actually got sick of my own character. Guess that's immersion, when you actually want your own character to get shot in the face because they're such a piece of shit as a person.

Yeah, that's a much more frequent problem. Zenwan was saying before that they tried to get into the conversation and they couldn't because the forum kept breaking on them.

Night all. Sleep well and see you tomorrow.

Have a good night, sleep well when you get there. =)
Good morning, I'm late today, had to take someone to the train station. I checked in here at 4am when I got up, but all I saw was a quick wave from the GOGbear, so I couldn't say hello.

Hi Crow and Endre - thank you for the hints re Shadowrun. I haven't got those yet, waiting for the price to drop, even in the Insomnia sale they were too expensive for me. But as time goes on, they'll get cheaper and cheaper and soon GOG will be paying me to take them, I'm sure. ;-)

Hoping to get back to the tutorials of Banished today - I just haven't had a chance to get very far with that, and my ADD makes it hard for me to concentrate for long on any one game. I already have about 40 tabs open in Firefox, and I've only been online for 10 minutes or so. No wonder it keeps crashing on me.

Any more music recommendations, Endre? I liked the last one. I hope things are going better for you.

Crow., you must be making coffee, or playing a game - hope I'll see you sometime today. :-)

Hmm, editing out HTML tags. GOG doesn't seem to like them..

Morning all.

Speaking of Shadowrun, how long would you say it takes to finish?
Just wondering if I should be playing that next or something like Halfway or Paper Sorceror. I want something relatively quick after LoX, it's fun but it's been a hell of a slog too...
If anyone has any estimates on those other games that would be great too :)
I'm assuming Arcanum and Pier Solar will be quite long play throughs so they'll be further down the list. And Tales of May'jal (or whatever it's called) is probably quite long, but with lots of dying and starting again so that's probably not next either.

Good morning. =)

Not a problem, I've played through both Shadowrun games a couple times each now.
Like you said, the prices will keep on dropping, figure it'll bottom out at 75 percent apiece for those eventually.

Your mentioning of the open tabs makes me think of the time I opened 500+ tabs on Firefox, just to see if everything would collapse or explode or something. -laughs-

Have been trying to shave a little bit off my Netflix backlog. With my luck, if I don't actually watch the stuff I want to, it'll end up getting removed, and I really don't have 5 or 6 hundred dollars to spend on DVD boxed sets of TV shows.
Good morning everyone! :D

Good morning. =)

Well, the rental playthrough of Shadowrun Returns says I put 18 hours into it. I get distracted sometimes and minimize games, though, so I'd put 18 hours as a high-end estimate.
Dragonfall has more content, more stuff to do, so maybe 24? Neither one are enormous grind-filled sprawling timekillers.

From a GOG review I saw, the person put Halfway at roughly 12-14 hours, I just started Paper Sorcerer so I couldn't say on that but you could ask Moonshine whenever she's around since she's actually finished that one, Arcanum is supposed to be pretty big, I think I saw an estimate for Pier Solar at 25-30 hours, and Tales of Maj'Eyal is supposed to be a massive time-destroyer, hundreds of hours of content.

Aside from me trying to drown you in text, how's your day going? -laughs-
