ddickinson: That does sound like a lot of hard work, I can see why you have not had much time for playing games. How long do you think it will take you to finish the project?
At the rate I'm going, about six to eight months for the first two books, which will be
a stand alone set, since it takes place on the first world encountered after leaving Earth,
but won't be the end of the story.

After that, it could take another year or two to fully flesh the last book (or books, depending... )
I've left a lot of this part of the story open so I still will have some creative development
(the most fun part for me) to do. There is going to be a little bit of sci-fi added to the
fantasy, so it will have a bit of a different feel than the first two books.

Most importantly, the ending is set, so all I have to do is fill in the events
that lead the characters, and the readers to that conclusion. ;)

ddickinson: Well that is me done for the day. I get to go home and relax with some scary games.

I hope you all have a very nice weekend! Try to clean up all the party stuff from Endre's lawn before he gets back. Or at least offer him a beer and some food from the barbecue when he finished work, he deserves it. :-)

*hugs and waves*
Later, DD. Have a good weekend. *goodbye hug*

Ah yes the simulation genre,a genre that became almost a parody of itself with it's inherited glitchy physics, broken gameplay and just plain boring.
Then why is EUTS2 such a game that garnered the love of a lot of people? Why is this game so compelling and addicting to many, even out of the sim genre? And why is it getting favorable reviews across the board?
The answer is simple:It's fun. Different from it's brothers,EUTS2 developer,SCS,kept in mind that the game is this,a game. It's not incredably boring like the rest of the simulation games out there.
For example,a trip from Milan to Salzburg takes about 40m instead of the 8 real life hours it takes to get there. And the game is also very deep with it's RPG mechanics and several levels of how realistic you want it to be.
The game is also open ended on how you want to proceed with the said mechanics, you can be a dangerous materials trucker or deliver canned good across the Old Continent.
There very few bugs and the A.I can be dumb at times but overral they react quite nicely.
And special mention the the beautiful graphics and optmization. On my low end laptop,it runs like a dream on the medium settings.
Should you pick this up? I think so. I might have a playtime of 3 hours but I know that I've made the right purchase but keep in mind that this game may not please you if you're not into this sort of thing.
Hey everyone.

Had a great night, very busy. Absolutely knackered now, but really pleased. Nice to be home relaxing :)

Agreed... I'm assuming most of them are just having a good rest... A lot of people here haven't been sleeping enough.

... and I'm about to sleep now, too... This is when I usually go to bed every night. 5pm :-p
