You give me too much credit, by far. Honestly? Considering how bumpy the road to upgrades is with GOG? Wouldn't be surprised if at least part of this thread, and the overall forum, gets wiped whenever they decide to actually do an upgrade.

Also, I'm not a good enough bullshitter to convince people to play horrible games, and I certainly wouldn't want people spending money on them.

Hell, I feel badly enough at the thought of David Cage getting enough money to buy a single stick of gum from me getting Fahrenheit.

I seem to be way more into self-torture than torturing others. If it was the opposite, I'd be lying about all the crap I've played, saying how good it is rather than screaming like a lunatic about how no one should ever waste their time on it.

Yeah, being a dictator is a serious pain in the ass. I much prefer the method of avoiding people fully if they're idiots, rather than bending them to my will. Too labor-intensive.

I'd say it's way, way, way too soon to say that Galaxy is crap.
Just as a ballpark estimate, would say that it'll probably be another year or two before they'll be putting it out for everyone, even as a not fully ready beta release.
Once it's fully implemented and any problems are wiped out, I'd say it could be useful. No idea when that will be, though.

I am not sure what kind of wine it was to be honest, other than it was very nice red wine.

I am glad my partner is feeling better as well. I missed spending time with her when she was ill, and I get all worried about her, especially when she was having trouble breathing.

Hopefully my mum will be okay. It's not complicated surgery, but she is still weak and in no condition to go under and be operated on. But sadly there is little they can do. I am taking her to see a specialist next week and we will take it from there.

Out of curiosity - why do people think that GOG''s going to do anything with the forum? They've repeatedly stated that they lack the resources to improve/ revamp it, and their focus is clearly elsewhere.

Here's the thing. I don't expect it to be updated any time soon. When I mention something like that, I'm thinking years down the road, unless they end up acquiring a lot more tech people in the near future.

You mean you never noticed my wiki? I am starting to think you don't pay any attention at all :-). I figured it would stop all the harassment I was getting. Plus it was recently my 1 year GOG birthday, so I thought it was time I join the wiki group. I was tempted to leave the wishlist off, but after chatting to a few people I left it on. Of course, after getting a few gifts I might end up removing it, but we will have to wait and see.

As for why people mention the forums: because we like to moan :-). And I guess as people really enjoy the forums, they are worried that GOG could do something to spoil all that.
