moonshineshadow: We had a bandwith restriction back then. It was quite normal and the standard you got before flatrates became the new standard. The reason my mum allowed as to change to a flatrate was that I showed her an online game I was playing and she got interested in it. And I told her that we would need a flatrate if she also wanted to play it :D

CarrionCrow: An online/MMO thing without flat rate internet seems like it would be begging to get charged silly for using too much.
Good job using the game to get her to make the switch, also.
Jap :D And it played out quite nice. It became the game my whole family started playing as our weekly family event when all of us went to different places :-)

That's cool. Sounds like a fun way for everyone to get together and have a group activity.

Yep it is really nice. We have a TS-Server where we all hang out and then play together with family and some friends :-)

Okay...let's see if things are working properly now. Stupid godsdamned internet.

That sounds like a really good setup, you can spend time with people even when everyone's scattered around.
Lot more practical than not having contact until you can meet up in person.

*big hug* Seems like at least you can post now ;-)

Yep, it is really good since normally only around the big holidays like for example Christmas everyone is at the same place.

Seems so. One of the many joys of living in the middle of nowhere - the internet will occasionally have a seizure for no apparent reason.

Right, and even when everyone's together, trying to get them all on computers in one place might be tricky. (Or I might be totally wrong and working from a bias towards desktops. -laughs-)

No you are right. Last Christmas we almost had to fight to decide on times on the two computers my parents own :D
Good evening, everybody !!
Hope you're all doing good ! :))

Good evening ladies and gentlemen!

I hope you are all having a nice night/evening?

avatar
EndreWhiteMane: Mine's a bit better now, I pulled my head out of my arse and started doing some work. ;)
I am glad your day is going a bit better now. And also, I love how you use arse now instead of ass. I always knew you were a sophisticated gentlemen. :-)

ddickinson: I know I do not have to gift you a game, but I can't let such a lovely lady go without some kind of birthday present. :-)

Check your PM for your birthday code.

*big birthday hug*
Thank you very much indeed for The Dig! It's another game that I've been wanting to play for quite some time. :)

*big hugs back*

I'm optimistic that today will go better than yesterday - even if I am getting a rather late start on it. :P

moonshineshadow: *good evening hug* Hope you are also having a nice evening?
*return hug*

I have had a very nice evening, thank you. I had a nice meal out with my partner and some friends. I might have had a few too many glasses of wine, but it was a fun night. :-)

How are you? Are you feeling a little better now you are home and have the weekend to look forward to?

LaPtiteBete: Good evening, everybody !!
