I haven't tried it myself, but I read the changes on The Witcher Wiki. Aside from a few items you get to keep, there may be a couple of different journal entries, there are 2 or 3 small parts where the dialogue is different, and you might run into an old character (all depending on choices you made in the first game.)

Know what sucks about stress balls? You can actually hurt your hand if the ball is too small for your entire hand to squeeze the crap out of it properly. Learned that one the hard way. -laughs-

Also, pretty sure I'm slowly destroying the thing. Didn't even think that was possible.

I addition to to the better equipment you might also have a little more money. Otherwise some subtle things change, for instance some dialogues will refer to choices you made in the previous game - i.e. right in the beginning King Foltest mentioning his daughter Adda.

The cats here don't even play with toys. They start trying to go outside around 4 am every day, run around back and forth after sunrise, go in and out of the house 3 dozen times a day, then they come in for attention, food and their cat beds to sleep in.

Avernum's been out long enough, it might go on sale during Summer, I'd be pretty shocked if Original Sin isn't as well, Hot Tin Roof, Oceanhorn and the Escapists aren't super expensive even at retail, MAX will be 3 dollars during Summer, the wave two Star Wars stuff might be half off by Summer, and Tex Murphy has gotten 75 percent off bundles more than once. Pillars is the only one that feels like it won't have a discount other than a small introductory one (maybe) on release.

I can wait but the splits should more than cover me, for free none the less.
I see DD actually got a wiki page, she has a very nice collection, for some reason I expected about 20 games. :-)

And once again, Original Sin makes an appearance. Whenever that goes on serious sale, there's going to be at least half a dozen thread people picking that up.

I really hope it lives up to it's reputation, otherwise we're all going to be very disappointed when it finally does get a decent sale price...
