AgentBirdnest: I guess talking on the phone. I have always hated talking on phones.
The only way I am comfortable communicating with people is in person.

FoxySage: I hate phones too. And to be honest, i find it more comfortable communicating with people via the internet or skype than in person. Too timid irl, although my social anxiety issues doesn't help much either.
I used to hate talking in person, but I was okay with internet communication. Somehow that got switched around a few years ago.
Of course, I don't have a big problem posting here. Here, I have a fake name. Nobody here (that I know of) has met me in person. I only dislike internet communication with people that I know IRL.

AgentBirdnest: Ahhhh! I just realized right now that today is Sunday. For the last three hours, I was thinking it was Saturday.
Not that it matters... I don't have anything to do or anywhere to be. I just hate it when that happens.

moonshineshadow: This always happens to me when I have longer holidays which I am not spending at my home. Somehow after a few days I get confused about what day it is exactly :D
I think what threw me off was pizza. Our family has had pizza every Friday for as long as I can remember.
But we had a large amount of leftovers from Christmas dinner, so we ate the leftovers on Friday and pushed pizza to Saturday.

HypersomniacLive: I don't doubt that you're going to be true to your word, but that's the thing though. It's just going to be keeping your end of a deal. I'd rather wait to see you truly change your mind about it; the comment in the Secret Santa 2014 thread though indicates that it's going to be a very long process if you've still think in terms of not having a public wishlist by this time next year.
Again, I think you are reading too much into what I wrote. I have been on the site since February, and on the forum since July, and all this time I have not had a public wiki, so would it not be logical to presume I wouldn't have one next year? I managed this long without one, so why would I foresee myself getting one next year.

But you are right, if not for the agreement I would probably not have one, although I would not rule it out. But I could say the same about you accepting gifts. My aim for the deal was also to get you to accept more gifts, rather than turning them down. Without the agreement, would you be willing to accept gifts, or would you continue to politely turn them down?

Happy... that I've finished downloading all the new games I acquired in the recent sales. :D

Now all I have to do is archive them to an external HD.

Edit...

Thus far, Darkfall is not scary...

That's one of the items I've been looking forward to playing.
Horror games have themes I enjoy, but none of them ever pull off being actually scary, so your comment doesn't surprise me.
How many games did you get from the tag team timer torture sale?

I rest my case.

And this is where you're going wrong about the whole agreement. I only politely turn down gifts if I already have them, if they're not DRM-free, and when the gifter is actively refusing to be on the receiving end. You won one of my GAs, and instantly attempted to donate a game to my next one.

I'm plenty open to accepting gifts, a good number of people can attest to this. I enjoy gifting very much, and I do it whenever I'm in a position to grant someone's wish, but I also understand that others feel the same way, so won't deny them the joy. But I expect others to also understand this. I expect a gifter to understand that gifting is a two-way street and go along with it, just as I am. Note that I don't mean this in a quid pro quo basis, only that one can't be expecting others to accept their gifts but never accept any from anyone - it's no fun and embarrassing to constantly be on the receiving end of one's gifts.

It would have been easy for me to accept your proposition, as it would practically change nth on my end (except perhaps for ending up with Fist Puncher on my shelf ;-P). But I'm not interested in seeing you do something you don't really want to do. Not to mention the posts you would be making afterwards about how I bullied you. ;-P

Well, to be fair, you can hardly expect to scare a Ghost with ghost stories... :P

Including all the sales... I picked up 21 games, mostly curiosity and collector buys,
not counting the free Age of Wonders and a couple others I gifted.

Oh, and one other from Gamersgate, Act of War High Treason, though it won't run the campaign on my Win 7 64bit system, it will run the skirmishes, though I got if for my old Vista 32 laptop. I would like to see both of these Act of War games re-worked to run on modern systems (they have issues with multicore and 64bit systems) and appear here on GoG someday.

How many games did you pick up?

21 certainly isn't bad, and curiosity/collection buys can be some of the most fun. =)

Ended up with over a hundred when I add up the November sale, the stuff I got on sale in between that and the December part of the sale, the December sale itself and the New Year's sale running right now.

(To clarify, I consider the big November and big December sales to be two parts of an overall mega-sale. GOG didn't go in with high-end massive commitment for either part, but when you put it together, there was selection equal to or better than your standard summer/winter thing, I think.)
