CarrionCrow: Sounds like fun, aside from the continued slog of data shifting.

Aside from falling off the nicotine wagon and feeling really silly engaging in mental self-flagellation while continuing to do what I know I shouldn't be, things aren't too bad.
Went to bed late, woke up early, felt like crap, went back to sleep for a while, ran some errands, now I'm just fiddling with numbers and list crap because dear gods, I kinda sorta really, really want the whole seemingly endless process of acquisition to end since I've been doing this shit for going on a year and a half now.
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: What then? A new list, or just stick with new stuff and sales?
Well, I've already picked through the catalog so many times, every single thing that I have even the slightest transitory interest in is on the list now.
I'm not going to be buying things from other places, and I'm sick of helping to support companies that rent me games I pay full price for, so that list is totally wiped out.
Right now I'm listing everything by price range, and from there I'll prioritize what I actually want as opposed to what I want to acquire in general. Pick off the high priority items, gradually wipe out the rest, and from there it won't be anything but immediately wiping out anything new that's of actual interest so the list never has a chance to accumulate again.

A lot of my items fall into the 'I think I want this but will wait for reviews' or 'I'll get this when I can afford it' or 'I'll wait for a sale' categories.
Because of that I'll probably always have a list about the size of the one I do now.
Just had to update the driver. One of the drawbacks of PC gaming for me is system requirements and how expensive it is to upgrade my rig.
Good evening, everyone!

How are you all this evening?

Did I miss anything fun with today's sale?

Has Moon visited the thread today? I hope she is doing okay?

Why my title is the way it is.
Also senpai,I think I got the flu. Legs feeling like pudding, running nose and quite a nasty headache. Also you missed the RIse of the Triad giveaway,it was over in a minute I was lucky and got one copy.

Good evening. =)

Can't complain too much here, the sale seems kinda blah unless you've paradoxically got a big thing for FPS-type items, but haven't ever bought any, haven't seen Moonshine, hoping she's okay as well since she's a pretty awesome lady in general, and while I have not forgotten the proposed punishment, I also respect you far too much to lie, and as such I will be completely honest, not only in stating my failure, but in saying there is no fucking way in hell I'm playing Soulstorm ever again. -laughs-

I am sorry to hear you have the flu, I hope it won't be too bad. My partner had that recently and it was not nice.

Here's a question - aside from the wait for a decent price on Original Sin, what would you categorize as high priority items on your list?

That's okay about Soulstorm, you know I would never do something so terrible to you. You are bound to have little set backs while trying to kick a habit, but I hope you won't let these little things deter you from continuing to try to stop smoking?

Moonshine is indeed a very awesome lady, one of the nicest I have met here on GOG. I think Sunshine would be a more fitting name for her, as she always brightens the thread up when she is here.

Nothing except free 'Rise of the Triad (2013)' which many of us now have spare keys for if you want a copy.
(And no, it won't be a 'gift' because I have no other use for it.)

As far as smoking most people 'fall of the wagon' 1000 times before they finally manage to quit, so no big horrible thing there.
Next time someone tries let's just not keep asking them how they're doing. That just makes them think about it more. :-)
That includes me when I try soon, I won't even let anyone know. ;)
And I'll probably have conjunctivitis. I'm contractually obligated to have this shit when I have the flu.

Pillars > Tex > Avernum

I missed nothing important then from the sale, that's good.

I will keep in mind what you said about asking people how they are doing when trying to stop smoking. I know very few people who smoke, or that have tried to stop.

How are you tonight, Endre?

Oh yeah, I'm definitely intending to quit, regardless of setbacks. Never wanted to start in the first place, honestly.
All it took was a moment of extreme weakness, though, and I latched onto it.

Have to respectfully disagree about the name since I prefer the moon to the sun anyway, so the high regard in which I hold her makes the name feel that much more fitting.

I hope it won't last long and that you will feel better in no time. It's never nice having the flu.
