FearfulSymmetry: I'm quite enjoying it so far! The first game was rather funny because it had lots of amusing references to popular culture. The second one is much like that, and it looks even nicer than the first game did. Some of the environments are simply stunning. And yes, if I hadn't won it I'd have waited a while to grab it as well, since it is pretty expensive now.
I have not looked too much into the game yet. I want to finally get the original two games played before I even think of buying the second game, just in case I don't like the series.

ddickinson: I know how you feel about wanting to do more. All we can do is be there for them and offer what ever help we can. And don't ever feel the need to be sorry about talking about such things, it's not whining. This thread is a lovely place to talk to nice people, and my PM is always open should you need to talk.

That seems like a good strategy. It'd be a shame to waste money on something you won't enjoy, and if you do like it, there will hopefully be a sale by the time you get around to it.

I wonder why the promo is time sensitive? That doesn't seem quite fair to people who are at work or not online. But who knows, we will have to wait and see in about 10 minutes.

I think somebody else suggested in that thread that it might be a giveaway with a limited number of copies? They've done that before. Still, I'm curious to see what it'll be as well.

Really sorry to hear life is being a pain in the butt for you.
We rent 1/2 of our building to a day care center and this has been a terrible year for them. Every day has seen multiple kids and staff with bad colds/flu/etc.
Hope things get better all around for you very soon.
