EndreWhiteMane: Look up a freeware one called Mahjong Champ, very simple with no frills. Easy on the eyes and lots of fun.
avatar
ddickinson: Thank you. I think I already have one on my computer, but I tend to find the real thing more relaxing, even if it does take more time to set up. :-)

Have you been sorting your hard drives all day?

avatar
CarrionCrow: Maybe some Minesweeper to go with, at some point. ;)
avatar
ddickinson: Hello, Crow! *hello hug*

I was never a fan of Minesweeper, but I do remember it on Windows. The default windows games were never blocked on the computers when I was at school.
Remember it on Windows? It still comes on Windows! XD
That game is going to outlive us all.

EndreWhiteMane: I'm sorting files into folders as I go so I have to be on top of it most of the time. Just a little mahjong in between. ;)

Moving files in Windows is similar to minesweeper. :-)

Hey there, D. Good evening. =)

Yes, Minesweeper was always crap.

Know how you can tell that Minesweeper is crap?
Because even in this age of people having no shame whatsoever about regurgitating old game stuff and calling it "retro indie", you still don't see Minesweeper-type games around.

Right alongside Solitaire. :-)

Some garbage always does.

As a defense against the idiocy of that truth, my brain also reminded me that stuff like Tetris will be around forever.
Evens things out a bit.

With the exception of playing games I get from GOG on, I don't use Windows anymore. The last time I used them for anything other than gaming was when I was in school, and I wasn't sure if they still came with the default games.

Solitaire will definitely still be around. That game has hundreds if not thousands of variations by this point.

Good evening! Have you had a good day?

And now next weeks new GOG game, Minesweeper HD, with regional pricing and pre-order exclusives. :-)

I should get the bulk of it done today and just have some smaller folders and a little organizing left.
My next project however is un-installing a TON of stuff from C: and re-installing on G: to even out the space usage. :(

That does not sound too fun. I don't think I am even half way to filling my hard drive, so at least I am safe for now from having to swap over files.

Turned out to be pretty quiet here.
Despite the Weather Channel saying it would be close to 80 degrees F this weekend and generally pleasant, a windstorm still came through, causing a sandstorm that would have sucked ass to try to do outdoor work in.

Still processing the ultimate disappointment of Hotline Miami 2, but if nothing else it's one more game for the completed pile.

Also, after doing the same simple cost total on my list as I have with other people, I'm realizing that finishing the list off is still going to take another 6 to 12 months. So now I'm trying to prioritize things into what I really want, and what I just want to have around.

How's your day been?
avatar
ddickinson: Hello, genki! *big hug*

How are you feeling? I hope you are feeling better than you were earlier? If not, is there anything we can to to help, maybe just lots more virtual hugs?
hehe, you're so sweet ♥

I took a long nap whilst the kids were out with their aunt, and that helped. So yes, I'm feeling a little better. ^__^

'course this big bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream with marshmallows and chocolate syrup isn't hurting, either XD Now where did I put the whipped cream... lol~

EDIT: And now there's whipped cream~! Thanks for the reminder! XD

What was so disappointing in HM2?

If you get bored, this'll cover the basics. =)

In the end, it's another game where I'm going to pretend there was never a sequel.

A sand storm sounds unpleasant. What has disappointed you about Hotline Miami 2?

My day has been very good, thank you. I had a very nice day with my partner and for the most part I am feeling very good today, I think the best I have felt for a while. I am tired though, it's nearly 2am here and I can't for the life of me get to sleep. I figure I will stay up for a little while longer then try to relax and see if I can get a few hours sleep before I am up for work.

I am glad that you are feeling a little better. *big feel better soon hug*

Mint chocolate chip ice cream sounds nice. I am just enjoying a nice cup of hot chocolate while I watch the fire burn out. I have not been sleeping too well for a while now, which is getting quite annoying. But I think it is getting a little better, so hopefully once things have settled down some more I can get my usual 4-5 hours sleep and won't keep feeling tired.
