toxicTom: Good idea! Have an Amazon link too? ;-)

Doesn't help with the reflexes though. TW2 combat is very fast and brutal and uses direct controls.
That's true. How about a coffee IV drip to help boost your reflexes while you play? :-)

Good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone. =)

Hopefully your weekend is starting off decently at least.

gunsynd: Crow,have you rang Inny?
No, I haven't. I generally don't call people unless they ask me to.

*welcome hug* Things are ok here, how are you doing?

penumbren: Dear lord, please let me get more than three hours of sleep tonight and not kill my father-in-law's roommate.

By this, I mean the woman whom I can hear talking, through two sets of walls/closed doors, over the top of the music that I have, for once, left playing (at a decently low volume - if I had it loud enough to hide her voice, no one else would be sleeping), as well as the audiobook that I am listening to *with headphones*. In less than an hour since she bothered to come home, she's slammed three doors and wandered through the house - talking the whole time - twice. It will be a very slow night if her phone doesn't ring (loudly enough for the whole house to hear) in the next hour or two.

Keep in mind, I live in California. It's a quarter to two in the morning.

There are Reasons I have been cranky lately and staying in our bedroom all day, is all I'm saying.

(Oh, hey. Her phone just rang. Shock.)
That person continues to be things that I want to describe in highly offensive terms....
Sorry that your sleep is even worse due to having to deal with that.

Hello, Crow! *hello hug*

I won't ask how you are, as Moon has already done that, and it saves you answering twice. :-)

Well, I woke up a few hours ago, sat down to my computer, and promptly fell asleep again. -laughs-

Aside from lack of nicotine making me feel like a cranky narcoleptic, I can't complain.
Just loaded up some very loud music and a coffee/soda combo to go with my continuing the final 20-25 levels of Meat Boy.
If I can manage to clear out 2 of those a day, I can finally put that game out of my misery by the end of the month.

How is the nicotine withdrawl going? Has your headaches gotten any better?

They're gradually easing up, thankfully.
The dozing off when I'm not doing something to keep my brain stimulated, like I've been up for a couple days despite being able to sleep recently, is starting to weird me out a bit, honestly.

I hope the dozing off is a side effect of the nicotine withdrawal and not something more serious?

I remember quitting nicotine, mit gets better. And soon you won't have that monkey on your back anymore.

That's what it is, no worries there.

Self-awareness takes all the mystery out of things. -laughs-

Chainsmoking's just another thing I did to stay awake. (Well, that and keeping my nerves from going off like water in a pan full of hot oil.) No more smoking, and I get a lot more shutdown.

Absolute worst-case scenario, and it turns out I'm totally wrong? I leave all my crap to the thread. ;) -laughing hard-

Right. One less garbage ritual to have to engage in, and a lot more money without having to pay for a fix every frigging day.

Nope, if that happens we will shut down the thread. And we wouldn't want that, so I guess you will just have to be fit and well. :-)

Well, when you put it that way...=)

I'll just have to keep on quitting, and if the sleep thing doesn't resolve itself in a few days, I'll set up a doctor's appointment. Don't want people worrying.

But anyway. Don't want to put the thread to sleep talking about my boring shit. What's everyone else up to?

Don't worry too much about the nicotine addiction, it is rather mild as addictions go, after 7 days your body can do without any, you'll just have to find something to do with your hands (to keep busy) as the act of smoking is the most addicting part (purely psychological).

Well, I'm working on my books, writing the actual pages and pushing myself to get a full rough draft of the first two books in the series, as soon as possible. It was much easier working on all the details and developing all the characters and worlds... (there is multiple worlds!)

Still, I'm feeling motivated with over a full decade of development work already done, and just want to get this project finished now, so I can start working on other stories that I have been fiddling with.

Other than that, it's a beautiful day! I might even venture out of my cave to hunt down some sub sandwiches. :)

Well you just make sure you look after yourself. Don't make me send Endre over in his sexy nurses uniform to look after you. :-)

I'm up to nothing much, just work at the moment. I have been trying to look for a scrap of paper on and off all afternoon. My dad "put it somewhere safe", where that is we have no idea. :-)

But another hour then I am off work until Monday morning. My partner is still not completely better yet, so we will probably just spend the rest of the weekend relaxing at home.
