So let me see: Almost all games are $5.99, the exception are Medal of Honor, SimCity 4 and Jade Empire. SimCity is the most expensive so that leaves only two games :D

You could be right, I am no expert, I am just saying what I have read in articles over the years.
You can read lots of stuff. There were once studies showing the beneficial effects of tobacco.

Although to be fair, when reading those studies and articles carefully what they show is which brand is less harmful. Or comparing tobacco to something else, like Strychnine.

The thing is, there's a preconceived idea of wolves being bad. Specially if you make a living with cattle. That's a deeply ingrained idea. Which is not entirely without a basis. Why would wolves try hunt a wild deer that can run away and fight back, when they have much more docile prey that's even kept in an enclosure so that it can't run away?

From that, you only need to take a small step to demonize the animal, and soon it's a khornate beast to be killed on sight before it kills you.

toxicTom: Still tired, but managed almost 6 hours of continuous sleep last night - so the fatigue level stays at least manageable. Hopefully I can catch up some at the weekend - although the kids often will be up extra early when they don't need to go to school or kindergarten.
6 hours sleep sounds nice. I normally have between 4-5 hours sleep, but lately I have only been getting about 2-3 hours.

Stick the kids on the PC playing with the choo-choo trains. I am sure that would keep them occupied so you can have a relaxing weekend. Or maybe not, kids are often a handful. :-)

Well I never said to kill them, but I believe there was proof of wolves attacking people in Northern Italy, Eastern Europe, and Russia. I think both views are correct, but I also agree with you that they are demonised. I have not read much into it all, it was just a few articles I read a few years ago, so you are probably more informed about it all that I am when it comes to wolves.

I can work around that. If you block me, I will just ask someone else to have a look. The only way you would be free from my gifting would be to hide your wislist completely.

I think I can find enough people here to make this a conspiracy. "No showing wishlists to dd until she lets us gift games to her". I guess by now you have ninja-gifted enough people here that would like to get revenge for it that this could turn into a huge thing :P

And people say I am evil with gifting, how could you suggest something so mean. That's like emotional blackmail. :-)

The number of people who expressed their wish to gift me a game is one of the reasons I don't have a public wishlist. I don't want them gifting me games when they can use that money to get games for themselves or for others. I am worried that if I put my list up I will get buried with ninja gifts, which would make me feel as though I were abusing peoples generosity by posting my wishlist. I know, I have a crazy messed up gifting mind. :-)

I have never heard of any wolf attacks on people since they started being reintroduced after they were almost exterminated, or even before. I have heard, very rarely, mind you, stories of them attacking cattle which are followed inevitably by farmers demanding culls. But they complain a lot more about UE quotas and would much rather cull Brussels if given a choice.

Of course, our wolves are smaller and more timid. I have no idea how a much larger arctic wolf would behave. But then again, the people living in those latitudes are not overly troubled by wolves, their main concern being bears.

EDIT: I read once that many an attack reported on people, was not actually directed at the human, but at the dog accompanying them, as if they resent their cousin for being a traitor and cozing up to the man.

I know part of Italy are worried as wolves have begun to attack people and they are getting more aggressive.

They do not attack humans unless they're sick or facing starvation, a large group, by it's very nature of being large is well fed, and no its not aggresive. Add to that that the notion of "humans bad" is well imprinted on them and you get no human attacks.

It's basically cattle ranching scaremongering. But the numbers don't add up. More cows are sacrificed due to sickness than lost in wolf attacks.
