Dear ddickinson,
There are still Adders here in Kent, over the last couple of summers I have spotted one near Dover and one in north Kent (where I live).
I had to contact the local Police as it was dead on the side of the road :(

There are Adders all over Britain, but not as many as there used to be. People tend to kill them now, as they think they will just come after them and bite them. As I said earlier, there are about 100 people bitten a year, with no deaths for over 40 years. I think they are gorgeous looking snakes, with a very nice patterns on the scales.

I added lots of games to my wishlist last night, and I am just narrowing it down after having a closer look at the games. I am down to about 30 on the list now from over 50.

How are you liking the weekend promo? There is only one game on there from my new wishlist, but I am in no rush, so I will leave it for another day.

The US has way more deadly things than the UK. We only have one venomous snake, the US has dozens. Not to mention some of the spiders you have over there. You would actually be safer from animals over here than you would be in the US. And everywhere is safer than Australia. :-)

I still have to go out and do some more physical stuff, but most of the day is me being inside and keeping an eye on my mum, who is not dealing with everything to well, what with her health and her fall and what is happening with my niece's death.

I am glad you are having a peaceful and sunny day. It's not very sunny here and there is a cold wind, but the day is still nice, with lots of birds out singing.
Yes, I think we have some... but in Southern France. Thay have the warmth and sunlight... so they also have venomous snakes and other wild stuff (deal with it !) ^^
Well, I imagine how tough it must be for your mum... I hope she will recover and feel better soon, as much as possible...
We don't have many birds here, in the city... We have a turtledove nest right above our office's dorr ; unfortunately they dropped an egg on the floor yesterday.... the nest looks a bit damaged... :-( I don't even know if the turtledoves are gone or still nesting here...

Poor Turtle-Doves losing their egg. :-(

I think Adders are quite common in Northern France, but I am not too sure. I love living in the countryside, we get so many animals. When I was living in a city while studying I missed all the fresh air and nature.
