tinyE: This thread better be 'free for all' because I just got hit with a silly curiosity out of the blue and it has NOTHING to do with anything that is being talked about in here, but it is gaming related.
The annual release of the new Madden game has become almost a national holiday in the States; people take off work, camp out in lines, have huge release parties not to mention all the tournaments that soon come along, several with huge paydays. So what I'm wondering is, do they even sell it in other countries?
Yes, it most certainly is. =)
As for your question, found an article mentioning an international release date, so I'd say yes. How well it does in other countries, I can't say.
OldFatGuy: I can absolutely respect that. In fact, TBH, knowing everything I know now, including the level of love one feels, I would choose not to bring a child into this world. It would be out of love and respect for such a child that I would make that decision.
Our world is getting worse, not better, and IMO the species is in real danger of extinction. And it will be mostly deserved, but that's a topic of discussion I'd rather not get into here. And even if extinction isn't in the cards, the loss of rights and opportunities that are occurring all over the world as we march to a new world order of fascism and police states likely will result in a life of suffering and despair that always makes me feel so guilty when I think about it that I can almost no longer face my son I am so ashamed.
So, yeah, I do not begrudge your decision AT ALL. In fact, I respect it. I was just sharing my observation of love above because it totally blew my mind. In a good way.
I appreciate you sharing it. Also, I appreciate having a pleasant, polite conversation despite you and I having essentially diametrically opposed opinions on certain aspects of a particular subject. =)
Also also, don't be too hard on yourself. It's not your personal fault that entropy is rolling along like a spectral freight train.
