You set out to invade Canada, the last time I looked, Canada is still free, and not flying the US flag. Also, don't forget we sacked Washington and burned down the White House. And lastly, don't forget we had bigger things to deal with in Europe, namely Emperor Napoleon. :-)

I understand what you are saying, but as I said to Crow, I have gotten some very nasty abuse from sharing some things, and I am just not in the mood for that right now, so I usually keep quiet about such things.

Unfortunately, no I wouldn't. I've dealt with a lot of intensely idiotic people online over the years.

I do understand though, some people or narrow minded and it's hard to escape the idiocy they dole out.

I like how the French use the term roast beef and we use the term frogs, such silly names really. But I guess out of the two of them, I definitely like roast beef the best, tastes so much better. :-)

I'm not sure about that, in real live I am as gentle as anything, a perfect English lady. True I might look menacing when covered in animal blood, but generally I wouldn't hurt a fly. :-)

I do tend to share more than I normally would here, not just with the history stuff but also more personal things, like who I am in a relationship with. While I don't really share things in too much detail, so far it has been nice to be able to be open about things and not get confronted by the low lives of the internet.

Well this place certainly is full of some awesome people, which is why it's such a nice place to be.

There are all kinds of low lifes out there roaming the net and looking to pounce on whoever they can find sadly. I'm glad GOG seems to be free of that the majority of the time, and when someone tries to be a low life they do not last long here ;)
I tried frog legs for the first time last year on a cruise, and I admit they do taste like chicken LOL

(no offense or silly argument to me... but every sensitive subject can lead to somewhat offensive interpretations... even more since we don't easily see the "I'm joking" thing ! :-))

They don't really bother me, it's just that I get tired of dealing with them. I have had enough abuse form idiots in the real world, mainly about what I am, and I just find it easier to keep quiet about some things. It's only recently that I started being more open here, mainly due to me not caring what people think, and from some wonderful support I have gotten from a certain person on the forum.

Meh... frogs taste a bit disappointing. "Slightly" like chicken, but... with the smooth texture of fishes... well. What makes them "good" is mostly the seasoning... !
