I'm fine... tired, but fine :)
I'm knitting and watching some Futurama old episodes... and checking the forums :)
What about you ? Are you enjoying your evening ?
How are everybody doing at your place ? Are things getting better ?...

I am glad you are doing fine, if not a little tired. Not getting enough sleep seems to be a trait of the people in the thread.

I am doing good, thank you. I had a very enjoyable evening and now I am just going through the GOG catalogue and filling my wishlist with potential games.

Everything is going fine, my mother and partner are both recovering nicely. Sadly the things with my niece are still quite upsetting. I am actually seeing the funeral director tomorrow with my sister-in-law to finalise some more arrangements and then to pick out a tomb stone, which is not a nice thing. I have been making most of the arrangements and covering most of the cost, just to help ease the stress they are both under. I know that as hard as it is for me, it must be so much worse for them, so what ever I can do to help I will. The funeral is not for another week or so, due to the crematorium being fully booked.

But I don't want to make the place all depressing. What are you knitting at the moment?

Normally the funeral would have been held sooner, but the chapel and crematorium were damaged recently, due to a drunk driver, so there is a slight delay. That is the main reason for the delay, another is that my brother's wife is finding it hard to let go, which is understandable. I offered to help as sadly I have experience sorting such things, and I wanted to try to make things easier for them.

Fingerless mitts sound nice, and perfect for you to wear while you are invading cold places while capturing stars under the cover of Napoleon Owl. :-)

I always find it quite comical when the Americans make fun of the French, especially given the French role in the American war of independence. After all, if not for France, Spain, and the Netherlands helping the Americans, you would have never won the war. So while you helped to free France in the two world wars, they helped to establish your nation. Also, it's not like the US joined the two world wars specifically to help France, they joined to protect themselves, helping France was just a part of that. Whereas France joined your war of independence to help you (and to get one over on us). So I would think that would make things even. :-)
