ddickinson: Did you see today's new release? Tis the game you mentioned to me previously. And to mark the occasion of it coming to GOG, I will add it as my first wishlisted game. (I am making a wishlist finally, to stop everyone getting mad at me for not having one).
What game would that be?

EndreWhiteMane: What game would that be?
It's as if you are trying to put me off making a wishlist. This is exactly why I didn't want one. :-)

*waves fist angrily at Endre. Then gives Endre a big thank you hug*

Well thanks to the kindness of our lovely Endre, I am now back to having an empty wishlist. Please give him a +1 for his continual generosity.

ddickinson: I am just saving this for future reference, for when you try to avoid another gift. :-)
Are you also going to frame it? I won't settle for anything less! ;-P

Having accepted your gift, thanking you is the least I can do; I'm not a rude, ungrateful person.

Don't get any funny ideas now though. I just didn't want to give you a hard time with everything you're going through; we can still go down our usual route if you'd like, I haven't redeemed the code yet. ;-)

On a side note - you do know that adding a game to your private wishlist is exactly zero useful as far as ninja gifting goes, right?

No, let us not continue our little game for now, please redeem the game. We can start our next gifting battle another day.

To be honest with you, one of the biggest reasons I don't want a public wishlist is the amount of people who would end up gifting me things. Many people have expressed the wish to gift me something, and should I ever make a wishlist I would no doubt get gifted several games, which makes me feel like I am taking advantage by posting the wishlist. I would feel like I was only posting it to get gifts, which would not be what I want, so I try to delay any public wishlist. I am always so very grateful when I receive gifts, but I prefer people to gift games to other rather than me.

That's not a valid excuse.
YOU NEED A HUGE BACKLOG, like the rest of us. :-)

I already have one of those, so does that mean my excuse is now valid again? :-)

Hey, you're the one that got yourself into this mess by being an incorrigible ninja gifter.
Now you have to get yourself out by taking some of your own medicine! :-)
Make a small wishlist of things you think you'll actually play, let us step all over each other for a bit, and we'll all be happy campers. :-)

I just got gifted 2 games in two days. Can't that be my medicine for now?

Also, making a list of things I actually want to play is hard. I own the games that I really want (give or take a few), the ones that are left are just those I have a slight interest in, and not ones I want people to waste their money on just for me. That money could buy someone else a game they are actually eager to play.

You are completely missing a healthy sense of greed, that's no fun. :(

What can I say, I am just a simple girl with simple tastes. What do I need with greed when I already have all that I need? Everything else is just icing on the cake, not anything that is vital to me.

Awww, I wanted to hear the particularly chauvinistic Endre quote, because for some reason I always find them more cute than chauvinistic. :-)

But what is icing to me could mean so much more for someone else. Would it not be better for them to get the gift rather than me? For example, the money you would spend gifting me a game could go on yourself, to treat you to another game you want, which would make me happy to know you got yourself something nice and it would make you happy as you got a game you like.

Yay, I was waiting for you to make a post.

Please give our kind and lovely Owl a bug +1 for her generous kindness and for just being her awesome self. Don't ask any questions, just press that little green button. :-)

Good afternoon, Owl! *big afternoon hug*

How are you today?

You're making us sound like a bunch of uncontrollable gifting lunatics.
