trentonlf: How are you doing tonight? *HUG* for you and Pip.
I'll second those thoughts for Inny, because it's a hard time for her:-(
I am insane. I've been using Completionator for the last week or two to organize my games - switching over from Backloggery, since it offers many more options as well as an export function - and I started tagging them.

I have 15 pages of games listed, before I finish going through and weeding out the duplicates and then adding the missing ones. I've been tagging since this weekend, in various 'shifts'... I just finished page 5.

Hey, me too! -laughs-

Organizing a mountain of backlog...sounds exciting.

At least you only have ten more pages to go? ;)

Hmm. Almost forgot. -puts a pillow down so you don't smash yourself silly trying to headbutt your desk in half-

I am just using Excel, working so far. But then again I have only 106 games with 40 beaten.

You too for organizing or for using Completionator? And yeah, way fun. >.<

Only ten more pages... *sigh* Not counting the lengthy list of games that I sent to poor moho to add to the site.

*accepts pillow gratefully*

Ooohhh.... add a zero to that for me (counting duplicates, of which there are a highly dismaying number) And that's before I even think of the console games that are still packed away in our storage unit.

Well, if I wanted to organize by genre or what-not, I figure it'd take a while.

Was actually referring to the being insane part. =)

Pretty much all my stuff is PC-based, and most of it's from GOG. Double simplification there.
I've got my primary folder for DRM-free (it's slowly eating my hard drive alive having all my GOG items on here, annoyingly), and I move all rental items that are cleared from active games to dead.

There are a few duplicates still in the bunch. When that happens, I tend to go with the rental version unless they don't have trading cards. If there are, I gather those and pass them off to someone who does the whole selling thing.

Last time I counted, I had 103 rentals left to go, and a whole lot of GOG stuff to play.

Good to hear about the pillow thing, as well. Voice of experience here, your mind starts going funky the longer you smack your head into stuff.
Doesn't really accomplish anything either, just creates the need for painkillers.

Ah, sorry. Personal terminology. I never look at anything I grab from there as an actual concrete purchase.

Well, yeah - insanity does seem to run rampant around here.

I don't have enough room on the laptop for all of my stuff, and I don't have the cash for a decently-sized external drive yet. It's in the plan, but not quite yet.

I'm trying to replace Steam with GOG/DRM-free as possible, but some of those Steam games aren't available elsewhere. *sigh* It's an ongoing project.

And yes - at my last job, I did physically bang my head against a wall more than once. Not often, due to mentioned pain, but there were definitely moments.

Screw it, solidarity through madness works.

The computer I have now is the most current one I've ever had, so the hard drive can cover it, but I'm also in the market for an external when I have the money for one.
Storing 800 gigs on here seems ever so slightly extreme, even for me.

I know what you mean. Right now I've got Valkyria Chronicles, Final Fantasy 3, Resident Evil 4 and Dark Souls loaded up for playthroughs.
Can't get a single damned one of them through GOG, and no idea when that will ever happen, even with Square-Enix having games on GOG already.

I've had coworkers who made me want to smash things, can totally relate there. Ended up breaking my hand on an elevator once.
One time I actually should have stuck with beating my head against things. -laughs-
Good morning! *hugs and waves*
