EndreWhiteMane: Crow, why don't you reserve a post for your blow by blow review of HM2?
Then we can all link to it and see it as it updates, AND you can use it for your game review later.
I can post info here in between levels if people want, impressions and what-not.
Roughly 5 minutes left and it'll be ready for install.
Okay, just did the intro, and it's definitely an interesting setup.
Also, the game gives the option to skip any scenes alluding to sexual violence, which is good so people don't get freaked out.
If I'm remembering right, the Australian censors made this big thing about the opening.
I think that was the reason why it got censored. It's already a weird gray area. What they're saying they saw wasn't there, unless you count a movement difference of pixels at what they're referring to.
But...at the same time, it's pretty godsdamned clear what's in the process of happening, added movement or not.
That part they make
very clear.
The music continues to be excellent, just like it was with the first game, and the gameplay is still just as full of that visceral goodness.
In real life, it might be kinda nuts to assault a floor full of guys with guns with a bicycle chain.
But playing this? I just screamed "FORE!!!!!!" like an unhinged golfer as I caved someone's head in.
This game is fun. -laughs-
The difficulty level is also just as brutal as it was in the first game. Expect to die a lot if you try this before at least getting used to the combat, both melee and ranged, in Hotline Miami 1.
These might be classified as tutorial levels if the tutorials come with buildings full of guys with guns.
Bears repeating that in this game, you die in one hit, so gunfights can go sideways fast.
Also, pistols suck compared to shotguns, machine pistols or my personal favorite, the assault rifle.
