gunsynd: What's for dinner?
LOL dinner was eaten - I was lazy - ham steaks, spinach and salad.

Then I wandered off with coffee and store bought lemon cake. Perhaps a nice fresh Insomnia game on deck for the late evening...

It's basically just baked ham, but cut into a "steak" about a quarter - half inch thick with an eye bone in it. And pineapple on top.

LOL dinner google. To quote a funny movie, I guess I had a case of the Mondays and wanted something quick and easy.

Has anyone played Toonstruck or the new Grim Fandango yet?
Fun, stupid, meh, opinions?

No,but have you tried Darklands yet?

I can't say I've played either. If I had an interest in such games, Toonstruck might be worth it for the cast and odd story and Grim Fandango is one of those games I feel guilty for not playing, because I think every self respecting gamer is supposed to at least try it.

I THINK we have some adventure gamers in here that might be able to give you better pointers? If you're on the fence about GF, again I've never played it but I bet you'd really end up liking it. It really is meant to be a true classic (no cult classic, no niche classic - the real deal).

-laughing-

I have Grim Fandango. It's been called a classic for years, but some people have complained about OpenGL requirements for the remastered version and some other bugs.
However, it's been patched more than once since I bought it, so it looks like they're making an effort to keep it maintained.

As for the other, it's yet another item waiting on my list to be picked up.

I have played it in the past and have a copy of it to play again when I'm in a more serious mood.
Tonight my anxiety issues are pretty bad and I was looking for something VERY funny to take my mind off of it for a bit.

A suggestion for something funny, albeit not a game - Archer.

I know I keep mentioning it, but it's a very funny show.

No need to play games, just sit in front of a mirror and get plenty of chuckles asking yourself (What happened?)

I'm trying to guess which one might go on sale soonest and get the other.
Played GF a long time ago and can't remember much of it.

I have that on my NetFlix list but tonight I'd kinda like to keep my hands a bit busy too. Got the 'willies' tonight. ;)

That would work, if only I had some of those suction cup darts. :-)

Hmm interesting...

Is Grim actually a LucasArts / Disney release, or is it a 3rd party?

If it is Disney, after they stuck a few of their games in the Insomnia I MIGHT hold off to see if it shows up on St. Patrick's Day. I like this guessing game!

Tried to attach this to my last post, but GOG froze up, so let's try it again.

Not sure about what you'd find most humorous, but looking at your list, Anachronox has a JRPG, turn-based style so it'd be slower, it also has humor to it, Ballads of Reemus looks silly, Evil Genius has dark humor to it along with a very slow pace so you wouldn't be adding to anxiousness trying to do anything at high speed, the Leisure Suit Larry games you have deal in humor heavily, Phantasmagoria 2 works if you don't mind laughing at really bad acting, Sam and Max has a base of humor but I'd suggest the later ones right now so you're not ripping your hair out from high difficulty, and Tales of Monkey Island also has humor to it.
