CarrionCrow: There's always a risk involved that something you think will be good turns out to be something bad.
My list contains more than a few strictly curiosity items.
Wouldn't worry about the financial side of it. If the person wasn't willing, they wouldn't waste your time bringing it up. ;)
I have a really weird thing when it comes to accepting gifts. For some reason I find it hard to accept things, I generally prefer to pay for or earn what I have. Strange I know, and I am trying to be more open to gifting, so who knows, maybe I will have a wiki page by the next big promo.

I like the idea of people ranking the games they want. It's always nice to gift them a game they really want. I tricked a few people at Christmas to list their 5 most wanted games, just so that I could gift them their most wanted game. :-)

In that case, you've already done more than enough to earn it by being someone who improves the overall environment with their presence.

Prioritization helps when it comes to large lists. If you have 20 dollars to purchase items for someone, and multiple items from their list are available, it's better to know what they'd prefer.

It sounds like you have a touch of the gifting fever and are getting ready for the next big sale so that you can ninja gift some more. :-)

My list just got a bit larger, that's all. =)

Are you planning to own every game on GOG eventually?

Also, are you still playing DOW 2 at the moment?
avatar
CarrionCrow: A request for you, when you have the energy and inclination to do so - If you can keep your GOGwiki updated and decide what strikes you as high priority on your list, then let me know, that would be hugely appreciated.
Thank you. =)
You make the damnedest requests, Crow. :P

My GOGwiki is updated. High priority on the wishlist... eek. Seriously, that thing's a dumping ground for "oh, this looks interesting." DD mentioned picking a top five, so... if I had to... right this minute*, I'd probably go with Lords of Xulima, Hot Tin Roof, Toonstruck, Paper Sorcerer, and Crystal Caves (not in any particular order). Apotheon is right up there, too, but that's because it's like a dream come true for a history major with a major interest in the Classical period. ;)

*I reserve the right to change this list without notice, or whenever I look at it, think about it, or get asked about it. So there.

No, I don't think so. Although, I have come up with a method as to how I could keep total catalog ownership maintained via mass purchasing every 6 months in order to maximize sales and price drops while keeping it all up to date.

Despite my joking, I don't really give a crap about things like soccer games or independent titles with no creativity to them. -laughs-

I finished off the core campaign of DOW 2 a few days ago. Now in the process of corrupting my squad members in the expansion Chaos Rising, and that's coming along quite well.
So much easier when I don't have to worry about not destroying sacred items or saving allied troops.

Course, at this point, the Dreadnought in the group is complaining steadily about how I'm going to make them my enemy by continuing my descent into madness.
Silly quasi-robot, my commander could tear them apart.

I know, I deal in unreasonable requests. My apologies. ;)

Information saved, along with your stipulation regarding changes. Thank you. =)

That, I already knew, so no apologies needed. ;)

You're welcome. And now I'm back to bed for a while, I think.

Sounds like a good idea, given your sleeplessness.

Fingers crossed that you'll be able to get some decent rest. =)
Just one more day...or rather, 14 hours, 22 minutes roughly, until I finally have Hotline Miami 2.

Something good to look forward to.

It's definitely looking to be, thank you. =) A lot more story, multiple playable characters, and they've already got the mechanics of chaotic high-risk fighting down cold, so it's set to be really, really enjoyable.

As a nice bonus, the original was only 300 megs, so even at 3 times that amount, and with my mediocre internet, I'll still have it ready to install within less than an hour of its release.
Beats the crap out of a 15 gig game. -laughs-

Rage quit Hotline Miami 1 at panther level, still keep replaying older levels to get better scores and grades though.

I almost did that until I remembered some mechanics that I hadn't often used. Turns out those were exactly what I needed.
And I only had to die several dozen times to remember. -laughs-
Good Morning All:-)
