Stilton: I was going to yes please, that would be very nice, but you know what? My toes taste rather nice.... mmm....mmmmm....num num num....

moonshineshadow: If you want real good chocolate you should come to visit Switzerland. Often things countries are famous for are exaggerated, but I have to say the chocolate here is really deserving it.
We have 'Swiss' chocolate here, but I'm not sure how authentic it is. Can you suggest any brands I should look out for, because if there is one thing I am rather partial to, it is good chocolate ;-)

LaPtiteBete: Hello Ghost !! :)
What game are you expecting ?
Here all is well too... ! restful evening in sight...
I'm not really expecting any games...

I'm so focused on getting through F.E.A.R. and the expansion so I can un-install it
and make room for more games first. heh

Restful evenings are great to look forward too, especially after a long day. :)

EndreWhiteMane: It's 12:12 here and warm, sunny and awesome!
Glad you like your little present. Sorry about the cold, Moon started it. ;)
avatar
LaPtiteBete: Lunchtime !! :-D
Great to hear you finally enjoy some warming sunshine...
Bah... a cold is not a big deal... And yes, it Moon's all fault !!
It is not all my fault. If you do not keep your antivirus updated to that it lets through some nasty stuff it is also your fault :P

EBToriginal: The best part is I have multiple sets of the paperwork done and turned in already and they keep dragging their feet on one side so they can say somethi else needs to be redone. It's standard operating procedure for anthem blue cross in California to be shitty until the state Supreme Court tells them to stop. And then they go to the next person and repeat the process.

GhostwriterDoF: Ah, one of the rewards of running everything like a business. Healthcare should really not be run "like a business", anywhere in the world. The Public Sector must be separate from the Private Sector, and it is the Public Sector that oversees the business interests, for protecting the interests of everyone.

Civics is the administration of people and society. whilst the interests of Business is wholly unscrupulous. There has never been a time in human history when business leaders could be trusted. That is why contracts were invented and governing bodies and laws were formed to enforce those contracts.

The nature of business interests is primarily to pursue profits, and is wholly unscrupulous, without regulations or a threat of prosecution for crimes that might be committed. Which, with all the business leaders getting into political positions and making appointments of their other business associates into positions as Judges and Attorney Generals, the private sector has all but eliminated civics from society. They have even gone into Educational Institutions from kindergarten to college, and removed civics from the curriculums.

When Government provides a service, the administrative costs are 3 to 5% of operations. When services are privatized the administrative costs are 30 to 40%, and the revenue goes mostly to the top executives, as they
try to find ways to cheat their workers and consumers to give themselves higher salaries and bonuses.

By the by, I'm in Southern California.
I was lucky, despite growing up and going to school in the mountains of NC, my AP us history teacher had formerly been a stock broker who lost his and a bunch of other people's money in the 1987 stock panic. After that he realized how insane the whole system is and became a history teacher. We spent at least two weeks on Sinclair's The Jungle near the end of the year.
good day everyone!

all in a frenzy for the insomnia sale then? ;p

I'm afraid I have most of the stuff that interests me on GOG or on disc already, so I don't really bother with these events...
besides, I'm still waiting for a new Rise of Nations/ Empire earth styled game with Kohan-like battles and a seven kingdoms 2 economy system... *sigh*...

And I'm trying to expand my musical horizon once again...

and the geese are starting to migrate in in larger numbers! yay!

and appart from that there's not much going on in Belgium...Parliament wants to pass a law that will take away the money grants from people who are workless because they spend their time at home caring for a very ill relative, and they are also working on an act that will force people who retired early (often miners, workers in the steel industry etc... who were battered and incapable of further labor by the time they retired) to go back to work again.

capitalist swine, they should be strung up with rusty barbed wire >:(

There are a lot of different ones and for example the chocolate from Lindt has gotten quite commercial and not all products from them are awesome anymore (still good but not great).

Personally I really like the ones from Sprüngli or Frey.

CarrionCrow: Maybe so, but you need to fight off the effects. Don't let crack keep you from beating a fondly remembered game from your past.
Force those shattered synaptic connections to take a detour around the burned out parts. =)

Additional - finished off DOW2 again a couple days ago. Now gearing up to turn the "we're the Space Marines, we're so great, the Emperor is soooooooo wonderful" dipshits into the biggest pack of Chaos-worshipping freakjobs the galaxy's ever seen. >=)
Interesting, do you get to choose what Chaos God? Or do they become Chaos Undivided ponces?

LOL !!! ^^ but... it is updated... I don't get it !!...
I used to have a little warband of Tzeentch-worshipping night lords miniatures.

I think I took a liking to tzeentch since he seemed the more intellectual of the bunch. And sorcerers and occult mystic stuff are great too.

Nurgle seemed allright, a bit more...caring...

and Khorne and Slaanesh always seemed to be, I don't know, less cool somehow :p

I agree, Lindt does seem to have become a bit too commercial. But I'll search out the others. When I visit Switzerland (and I've wanted to for some time) I will buy vast boxes of chocolate to take home with me.
*grrrrrrrrr* Home internet connection keeps going down! I've had this thing for years without issue but the last few months have been spotty.
avatar
CarrionCrow: And maybe Sokobond. Can't say for certain yet because my brain won't shut the hell up and pick one plan or the other. -laughs-
avatar
moonshineshadow: Check your pms. I am unsure about the game so I'll let you test it :D
Holy crap. Was not expecting that. =)

That is a good plan :-) I always take home some chocolate for Eastern and Christmas and sometimes just because which makes my family quite happy ;-)

Stilton, If you pass through Belgium somehow, on the road to switzerland, you could pick up some Belgian ale, or chocolate?

We have a long standing tradition with the stuff too in these parts, mainly found in the so called Pralines

And lots of good ale too :)
avatar
CarrionCrow: Good afternoon. =)

Doing okay here. Few odds and ends of nerve damage (avoid staircase falls, car accidents and sleeping in uncomfortable chairs) but nothing major.
Having some coffee, making some discs for a relative.
No coin left, but the relative might pay me in more games for the hours I'm spending doing the discs. Trying to maintain a sliver of control regarding wishlist reduction, so I'll just wait and see.

If it happens, I think there's one more Insomnia item I might go for, and there's some weekend promo stuff.
And maybe Sokobond. Can't say for certain yet because my brain won't shut the hell up and pick one plan or the other. -laughs-

One really cool thing, though - the weekend stuff is two choices easier since Endre is super generous and blindside gifted two of them to me.

How's the weekend treating you so far?
avatar
LaPtiteBete: Aw, sorry about your "dds and ends of nerve damage" :-/ that sounds rather unpleasant.
The pace of the sale is really low... What are you still expecting ?
Endre is then a serial ninja-gifter ! :-)
The weekend is great... peaceful... quiet... resting ! All I needed :)

LaPtiteBete: Yes, yes, you can !!! ):-| .... lol
It's okay, I'm used to it. Just gets annoying when it all decides to flare up.

Also, holy crap times two. =)

I now have two codes for Sokobond, neither of them yet redeemed.

For our resident owl lady and Moonshine, I honestly have no clue how to proceed on this one.
You're both extremely generous, and you've both put a smile on my face. Thank you for that.

Figuring I'd probably end up buying Sokobond myself, but hadn't gotten to that point. -laughs-
