EndreWhiteMane: Howdy folks! Y'all have a great day now ya hear? (Unless of course you have other plans) :-)
Howdy yourself!

All presents wrapped, just finished with cooking my highly improvised sauce, only thing left now is to have a hot shower, then pack everything and head to my brother's for the Xmas dinner!

Any good plans yourself?

Out of curiosity, what's the name of that gifting witch?

By the way, I wanted to throw in my viewing suggestion as well. The new Berserk: Golden Age Arc films are pure distilled awesome.

Sounds like you've got a good plan going there. ;) I'll have a quiet day home with the dog and cat and maybe make a little something special for dinner. For all 3 of us, they love the holidays. :-)
Have a wonderful day.

Found it. Wikipedia, is there anything you don't know?

Obviously, this isn't it.

j0ekerr: Good afternoon/morning fellow GOGlodytes. Did Fater Christmas/Santa Claus/Old Saint Nick bring you everything you asked for?

I'm still waiting for that lightsaber.

Spent the morning at Drangleic, got my ass thoroughly kicked, but managed to get up to the Old Bastille.

Then I was slaugthered by the mid bosses.
Ahem

Seems like you guys have had a pretty fun Christmas Eve. Carrion got into the hard good stuff and even began praying for his personal happiness and much suffering to the world.

I can sympathize.

I have played to the feels. I've had this discussion before with Mr Space Cheese, but it's almost not a game. Since it only has one ending, the gameplay choices don't really affect the end result. Anyways, To the feels was a very nice, and the only reason I didn't shed manly tears at the end is because my heart is a withered dry husk by now.

I still cry whenever I read Year One though. Or volumes 4 to 13 of Berserk. Or volumes 18 to 21 or 24 to 27... The whole manga really.

Basically, feats of awesome manliness deserve manly tears.

The talk about 80 pound puppies almost reanimated my heart. And brought back bittersweet recollections of my dear old great dane. That was a 110 pound puppy. He'd run to the front door, barking like a hellhound, running towards whoever was coming in. Then if the person stood his ground AND took a step forward, he'd skid, turn around and run as fast as he could with his tail between his legs.

It was also hilarious seeing the HUGE dog being chased around by the much smaller waddling bulldog.

No presents for me. But we get them on the 6th. So no worries mate.

Foxy, that is insane, the way the obstacles blink. It seems designed specifically to give you an aneurysm.

Note to self: Don't ever let Crow design a game.
My old Lab would run up to the door and if they came in he would gently stand up, put his paws on their shoulders and stare them right in the eye. Once he felt they were terrified enough, he'd lick their nose and run away wagging his tail 100 miles an hour. He was about 110 too and quite the comedian. :-)
He was however terrified of our 12 pound mini Dachshund. ;)

Howdy :D
I'll have a great day or I am having a great day to be correct :D Relaxing, playing games (computer / board games) and in the evening there will be a great dinner cooked by my mum (4 courses) :D

4 courses! All I can is 'burp'. ;)
Have a wonderful day! :-)
One thing I dislike about Christmas, as Hollywood has shown them to me, is that by tomorrow it's over.

This is it, it's the last day. There's still new year of course, but Christmas has come and gone, and by tomorrow we go back to business as usual.

I prefer it here, where we have to wait until the 6th for the presents and the whole thing is stretched out over almost two weeks.

Of course I have never experienced Christmas overseas, so I could be wrong. As I've said, my understanding of Christmas comes through the movies and TV.

I got Hoard on a humble bundle some time ago. Basically a board game on the computer.

And perfect for when people are around.

HoMM is still best board-game-on-computer in my opinion.

Yep I can agree with that :D Which one do you like the best?

I've only played 3 and 4 actually. But I think 3, with its old but colourful and simple graphics and simplistic yet deceptively complex gameplay, comes closer to capturing that board game feel.

It also holds a more special place in my heart because of nostalgia.

Yep for me too. I played 3-5. And I still like the third one best :-)

HoMM 3 is special to me aswell for those reasons. Although HoMM 2 gets a honourable second place. That was my first game in the series i played.

I've played four and five aswell. HoMM 4 i didn't like as much but was still a decent game. Aside from the 3D-ish (or2.5D-ish graphics) of the fifth game it is really great gameplay wise.
My town usually gets a ton of snow this time of year, but we haven't had a single flake since May (which was very odd - the last time it snowed in May was 18 years ago.)

I looked out the window this morning and saw 5 inches of snow, and it is still falling. It's so beautiful, and the timing couldn't be better. :-)

That's awesome! I was about to brag about the sun coming out, first time in 3 weeks!
Have a great day and enjoy the snow. :-)
