CarrionCrow: Yeah, I'm definitely a fan of that as well. I've gotten some rentals because they were super cheap, either via big sales or bundles, but I cut my wishlist there down to 2. And that's only because I really like Max Payne and those aren't here yet. (Fucking Take-Two, sign on with GOG already!)

Really, I just want to get my GOG list cleared. Once that's clear, I really don't see myself buying a lot of stuff anymore.

Stilton: The feeling of achievement and relaxation after slogging for so long will be amazing. Just a horizon filled with games. A bit like having your own desert island.

And the next game is.....Theme Park.... Where are you, Hitman 2...?
I'll just be really glad when it's done. It's a variation on the unbeatable game of trying to have the entire catalog, but at least it's a lot pressure, a lot less money, and I can at the very least avoid games that I know hold no interest whatsoever.

moonshineshadow: ok I made it to the actual page :D You guys talk to much while I am sleeping ;-)

*hug for Stilton* I am glad you kept your avatar. And yes I slept quite well :-) So how are you doing?

*hug for Crow* I am doing ok, the emotional stuff is getting better and as soon as the meds kick in and the weather gets warmer health issues will go away ;-) I really hate the cold (even if I like snow)
I'm doing good. I spent the night here so I'm feeling a bit sluggish, but its been fun, and there was an amazing contest between Medal of Honor and Tetrobot on the front page to see which would end first. They kept within three or four of each other the whole time they were on. Medal of Honor won in the end, but only by a handful of sales. (you have to understand that I've been up all night and even something as simple as a coincidental race can seem exciting...;-))

I've talked with people who deal with the seasonal affective stuff. It does a great job of making certain parts of the year really awful.
I'm sorry you have to deal with that, and also happy that it's slowly improving. =)

Stilton: Well that beats the crap out of pc gaming... ;-)

EBToriginal: They are hosting a hypnotism and rope play party in two weeks at a local venue. Way outside my usual comfort zone. (I can do stuff in small groups or over camera but large groups are scary.) might see if I can get myself to go.
Rope play sounds like there will be a lot of chafing involved. Not striking me as the most enjoyable way to spend an evening.
Maybe that's where the hypnosis comes in. If you're hypnotized, maybe you won't notice as much.

I am so glad that I decided to go and get some sleep :D
If I had to watch that battle I would have probably slept in front of the PC and gotten the same problems as Crow had for doing that ;-)

I have to say rope play sounds quite good compared to hypnosis. Which sounds like a lot more scary way to lose control ;-)

You were probably a lot better off sleeping, yes. Without Stilton to talk with, that little race would have been boring as all hell to watch.
Alongside that, it feels like the energy's been knocked out of the sale a fair bit since it's late, more people are sleeping because they're not willing or able to be awake through round two, and some of the quantities are really slowing things down.
Also, you don't need head, neck, back and shoulder problems like I get. Definitely better for you to sleep in an actual bed.

I'd say rope play and hypnosis are just different forms of voluntary loss of control. One's physical, the other is mental.

How are rope play and hypnotism combined? Let me just loosen my collar....

Well yeah if you just go off to Home Depot and buy cord there you can get all sorts of chaffing. Buy purpose built kink rope if you are really worried about it. Some of them even wick away sweat and are impregnated with stuff to keep them from going grody. I mean unless you like rope burn, or are careful. I have a scar on my left forearm from when a lover wanted to see what my pain tollerence was like early in the relationship. Seven and a half years later and it's still clear.

And I would say that you shouldn't let anyone tie you up or hypnotize you unless you trust them.

I have no idea, but I'd let any of the people who were running the event do either to me.

Oh and he showed off this thing with one of his partners where he induced a trance state while "threatening" her with a knife as part of the induction.

Morning routine.

Wake up.
Rub the crust off my eyes.
Make some tea.
Switch on the computer to check the insomnia sale.
Find out that Endre's gifted me something.
Giggle like a boy at christmas morning.
Ruin my monitor when I enter the code and find out it's Shadowgate by spewing tea all over it, in one glorious spit-take.
Holler like the nintendo 64 kid.

Yep, morning routine there.

Shadowgate is fun, savor it.

Yep of course. But for me mental loss of control sounds much more scary.

Sounds like a pretty safe environment to explore how far you're prepared to let yourself go.
Good morning, everyone !! :)
sounds sort of fun when you phrase it like that. I've been in trance states a few times, it's not terribly different feeling than subspace really.

Yeah, I am going to go to the next month's meeting. Maybe the play party thing too. It's been a long time from the last time anyone tied me up, and I can play much harder than a little hypnotism.

Same here. Not a fan of either, but out of the two I'd say that's worse.

Good morning. =)

Yeah, he's pretty frigging cool. He was asking about you wanting the game when it was up.

Hi, Owl. Did you sleep well, or was the Strawberry singing again?
