EndreWhiteMane: I free'd my PM's and they are very happy now. They say to thank you very much! :-)
Seriously thanks, I've been putting that off for a while now. ;)
CarrionCrow: Not a problem, you're welcome. =)
Also, it was the perfect size for my remaining games budget. -laughs-
Oh lord, you
are as bad as me. Let's see, I have $3.00 left on PayPal, now what can I buy for that? :-)
j0ekerr: Obvious scam is obvious, for the exact reasons Endre has mentioned.
Tech support will never call you directly without identifying themselves, and will
never know you have a virus on your private computer. They might, on a work monitored terminal, but never on your machine.
tinyE: Thanks again, to you and everyone else.
I'd be totally screwed without this place. :D
Ongoing advice is this:
If anyone ever calls like that about anything. Computer, car, toaster or toothbrush.
Tell them you are busy and will need to call them back. Ask for a name, company name, phone and extension.
If they haven't hung up yet they will, or say something rude and then hang up. :-)
