moonshineshadow: Somehow I get the impression that this sale is ignoring my wishlist ;-)

tinyE: You too? XD
Yep :D
So did you buy anything yet? Or also nothing?
avatar
CarrionCrow: Until your shield maiden tries to cave your skull in. Then you'll be too concussed to notice how great the doctor is. -laughs-

A question for you - does your daughter enjoy video games?
avatar
Stilton: Trying to get her to stop playing them is like a two-hundred year old asthmatic trying to extinguish the sun in a single puff from his/her recliner.

She's currently grafted to a game called ArcheAge, an MMO that actually looks pretty good. She's got friends there and spends most of her life attacking things, dropping a dead cow on things, zapping things and generally having a ball.

So yes, she rather likes them ;-)

LaPtiteBete: Hehe mon petit hibou :-D excellent !!
I'm fine, thanks !!
Yes, I already bought 4 games... no, 5 !
- Lumino City
- Dark Reign - Expansion
- Monkey Island - Special Edition (sigh)
- Knights and Merchants
- Deux Ex - GOTYE
and I almost bought again one I already owned... ô__ô
avatar
Stilton: I've done that, and its really annoying. Serves me right for having more games than I know about ;-)
-laughs- That's cool. Getting to share a hobby with people close to you...always a good thing. =)

Nothing. I almost snagged one last night but someone called to make a reservation and I missed it. Also there have been a couple titles that caught my eye but they were only 50% off as opposed to all the stuff I haven't wanted which is 70 - 80 % :P I sound like a spoiled brat now. Better shut up. :D

Nah don't worry :D I am the same. I was considering buying one game but since it was still $14 I decided against it ;-)

The shieldmaiden, on the other hand, is about as interested in them as I am in dung beetles. Which leads me to conclude that there's something congenitally abnormal about her. She has her compensations - if we're ever attacked by a gang of hoodies I know she'll be able to beat the crap out of them without breaking sweat - but the game thing is decidedly strange. She likes Scrabble, though. Do have that there?

My suggestion - seek out a game series called Bookworm Adventures. That could be useful in bridging the gap between her interest in words and an interest in some kind of video game.
Finally got rid of all that hair. That took longer than expected.

Came back, saw far cry 2, nabbed it!

What did I miss?

Not a problem, it came to mind as soon as you mentioned Scrabble. =)

Shit. Ninja'd. :-)

CarrionCrow: <snip>
Thanks for the info and the link :-) Seems like I missed some games, but that was to be expected. Perhaps I can get them in the second round.

Stilton: What's a JRPG? Is it like an LDRKKHTUIILSG, or just an RPG with an added J to increase its intrigue?
It stands for Just Really Pissant Grinding. Since that's how japanese developers designed their roleplaying back in the day.

Square still does.
