adaliabooks: Only two purchases so far, Shadowrun and Arcanum. Both somewhat impulsive but Arcanum more so as it's not even a wishlist one... just cheap and looked good :D

gunsynd: I'm clocking off too,Seeya:-)

adaliabooks: Night! :)
Great !! I already had Arcanum (also an impulsive purchase, because it looked like Baldur's gate series, which I loved)... I bought Shadowrun - Dragonfall on last sale, but didn't try it yet, so I didn't buy this one... :)
I bought no game yet in the sale *hides*

Arcanum was cheap and lots of people said it was good so I went for it.
Shadowrun I've had my eye on a few times but really wanted to play it since Crow described his run through of it a while back.

And Agent has just generously gifted me Septerra Core which looks like it should be fun too :)

Shadowrun is definitely enjoyable, and as they put out more games, they get better.

I like Shadowrun Returns, but I like Dragonfall a lot more. And I have no doubt that I'll like Hong Kong more when it comes out.

AgentBirdnest: That is Leonardo DiCaprio in "The Basketball Diaries". Going through heroin withdrawals. Luckily I have never had that problem. (Except for the vomit, I did kinda feel like that, though :-\)
**Crushing return hug** (Thanks for the training ;-))
Good to hear you are fine. Not as glad to hear about your boss who is bothering you so frequently o__O
I've never seen this movie... (but I recognized Leonardo Di Caprio !)... This sounds awful I didn't know your medication withdrawals could be so severe :-( ...
** Another crushing comforting hug **
As for my boss... she's just gone away... I'm free ! \o/ heehee

Yeah, I'm fairly certain I'll love it. Sounds just like my kind of game, but I'll work my way up from the cheaper older ones to the shiny new ones (by which time they will hopefully be cheaper and older... :) )

Hehe.
I didn't know much about it myself, but it's a JRPG and I love JRPGs. It was only £0.99 so I was thinking of impulse buying it but then it ran out of copies, so I'm more than happy with Agent's kind gift :)

You answered too quick to see my edit lol.
What's ... no, nevermind. (I was going to ask what was the difference between RPG and JRPG, then I understood... The manga style...)
Yeah, our Agent is awesome :)

Not just the art style... JRPG's tend to be a very particular style of RPG. They don't tend have the same conversation elements or skill systems (things like trap disarming and lock picking) as western style RPGs like NWN have.

Basically anything following the mold of Final Fantasy is a JRPG (to me anyway, I know others may disagree)

It was not very popular. I don't think it was released outside of the US. Pretty good movie though... Leo is a great actor.
The withdrawals aren't as bad as that video... There are some similarities, though :-\
Luckily my best friend has been helping me through the worst of it, which makes it massively easier.
Thanks for the hug. ** Crushing return hug **

Free at last! Congrats! :-)
What's a JRPG? Is it like an LDRKKHTUIILSG, or just an RPG with an added J to increase its intrigue?

I like the extras they added to the Director's Cut, the ability to customize your team by choosing what they focus on, the side quests involving them.

It means Japanese RPG :-) Since they normally are a bit different than the "normal" RPGs.

A JRPG, or Japanese-style roleplaying game, is generally viewed as a title that contains similarities in aesthetics and gameplay to the Final Fantasy or Dragon Warrior series of games.

In more modern incarnations, the characters tend to look like they stepped out of a Japanese animation, the combat is turn-based, people standing on opposite sides of the screen and politely trying to kill each other, then going back to their side of the field.
Now I know what a JRPG is... Hey, I learned something!!
