All three Simon the Sorcerer games were in a weekend promo within the last few months. Maybe that's the reason.

I have this excellent Compaq (spelling?) laptop with a mouseball adjacent to the screen! Plus I want to hook up my old 2-button joystick to it. That thing sucked but I had a ton of fun playing TIE Fighter with it.

And this thread is about the only place where I think anyone gives a shit, even though I used to host a lot of GAs and gift games, ever since I stopped a whole lot of people have conveniently forgotten about me, and not one of them has offered any sympathy outside of this thread. And some of these are people who have expressed sympathies to others in the past, whom *I* have been there for, and who now consider me some kind of pariah.

Yes, I'm ranting again, partially because I found out just recently that my dad spent much of the day sick, which is why he had not called my mom. He usually talks to her a couple times a day, and I had gone with her to see him Friday night and Sat. afternoon.

It's a stupid thing to compound with this, but the lack of concern from goglodytes and the fact that I was so quickly forgotten by the "elites" has embittered me.

That... is awful. I'm sorry I was so flippant. Arrrggggh - is your dad's current condition still stemming from the original event you mentioned a month or so back?

While I can't relate to your current feelings regarding the health issues, I DO know I beat the heck out of myself whenever I snap at my mother as well. Sometimes it comes too easy and I can't stand when I do it because she's one of the best and most important people in my life. Sad but true but when things get trying sometimes it's too easy to lash out at those closest :(

Thank you...I just wish so many people chose not to suffer silently. People talk about how no one can hide anything anymore; well when it comes to trivialities that is certainly true. When it comes to real issues people are dealing with however, most prefer to do it alone. Stoicism is well and good, but there is a fear of being open, especially on public forums. I can appreciate that and, indeed, this is the only forum I frequent where I even talk about such things.


We need to stand with each other, to help one another out in times of crisis, as a people, as a human race. Until we figure out how to do that though, we're all just going to watch the world burn.
