Looks like the kind of RTS that nowadays would be politically incorrect to make. What with the hostage taking and suicide bombers.

Which makes it all the more sweet.
To me it looks like a vaguely C&C-style RTS, only hopefully without the stupid Tiberium crap that spirals completely out of control and ruins the story.
