EndreWhiteMane: I spent another 3 hours fighting with the laptop today, I'm all fought out.
Turns out updating the BIOS set the machine back to default settings.
The defaults are for Windows 8.
I bought it with Windows 7, that won't work.
3 Google hours later I got the one tiny setting the way it was supposed to be.
Voila'
Sure would be nice if Toshiba had the correct update utility on my machine for the OS I bought it with.

I think it was because it had a Norse setting and is a city builder, or an RTS. All of which are things I like. I think I saw it on a sale and liked the look of it. Heard lots of good things about it since though :)

Toshiba is my brand of choice, wouldn't have anything else, but this time it got me.
Beautiful machine when it's not being a pain in the ass. :/

gunsynd: Dead set pain in arse setting up something like this and re-installing windows....

EndreWhiteMane: Fortunately I didn't have to reinstall anything, took 5 seconds to fix once I knew WHAT to fix.
Took 3 hours to figure out what that was. :-)

That's when I wish-listed them. :-)
