Insomnia's a whole other thing. Set amounts of items for extremely low prices.

When something major would hit, you'd need to be extremely fast to grab it. Conversely, if you got something like Jack Keane 2, people would spend hours trying to convince each other to buy the copies so the sale would move on to the next item. -laughs-

Even with the slow parts, the energy level's always good and the whole thing wraps up in roughly 5 days, even with 3 full rotations of all sale items.

Unfortunately, it seems like the promo concept's been shelved for the foreseeable future. Last Insomnia sale was 10 months ago, and there's no way to know if another one is coming until GOG announces it (which they always do at the last second, so you can't really plan to have extra money put aside for when it hits).

Hell, at this point, I'd take a timer sale.
Certainly not volunteering to do another tracker thread, but I'd love to see a big sale before Summer so I could have more than one chance to cut my list down.

Spring is around the corner, maybe do some spring cleaning, and we could have a yard sale?

Right. Otherwise known as "that one mediocre looking adventure game that's only popular because it took so goddamn long to get rid of it during the first Insomnia sale that gaming media outlets were actually reporting on how it had brought the whole sale to a virtual standstill".

And of course, I own both games in the Jack Keane "saga", so I'll end up being one of the very few who actually play the frigging thing.

If I was GOG, I'd consider doing a big sale during March or April, spacing things out rather than trying to do two slightly smaller than usual sales for the summer period.
Would say they really pushed their luck with that one, more than one person was complaining that they had no money left to buy anything by the time the second one was complete.

Hey everyone!

Sorry for my absence for the last couple of days (Not sure why I'm sorry, I don't think I'm that interesting that my presence will have been sorely missed) but it has indeed been a busy weekend. Finances are looking a hell of a lot better, which is nice. And we're busy pretty much every weekend from here on in so things are looking up.
