Thank the gods, I'm finally done with all things Anomaly-related.

I really hate that series right now.

Great post indeed. I let my cat do whatever he wants and we get along famously.

And great clip. My cat is totally a dog.
Seven hours with no one talking at all...

Must be a busy weekend.

Will hope that everyone who's out living their lives is doing well. =)

Busy? Check. :)

Managing partner billed 17.3 hours today! I've got no end in sight tonight, but have to be back for month-end billing 11.5 hours from now.

Whew!

-laughs- I'd say over 17 hours in one day goes beyond standard levels of being busy. =)

We works hard, we plays hard. Well, this time of year, we works hard, we works hard. :)

We lost a bunch of staff since last year. The majority of them (3 of 5 lost) were actual sociopaths, though, so I'll take the long hours and pleasant company over the alternative.

EDIT: I made the mistake of sorting the Individual Do List by "in" tonight. About 20% of our returns are in the office right now, and that's not counting the corps or trusts... Yikes~!

Yeah, more work and less people is a lot better than less work and really annoying people.

So, if I read that correctly, you've got 20 percent of your entire tax season workload to do right now, and not only is that a huge amount of work, it doesn't even amount to 20 percent overall since you have other categories to deal with as well?

If I'm processing correctly, my advice would be to grab a shovel since they're trying to bury you. ;)

Well I was thinking in terms of numbers but typing percentages, so it's not quite like that. I imagine we have 50% of our corps in (c-corps & s-corps due 3/15, not 4/15) and maybe 20% of the trusts. We'll extend a bunch, so that cuts a lot of stress right there. Some unknown number are certainly no longer clients of ours but haven't bothered telling us yet.

There are some other factors. The few days around month end are always rough. Plus stuff. So it'll mellow for a week by Tuesday, then on to the 3/15 rush...

But yeah, I'll be around here less. :)

EDIT: The worst part is I won't be able to participate in Insomnia to quite the extent as last time. But then, I need a lot less games than I did a year ago.

I would be so full of crap if I tried to pretend that I understood everything you just said. -laughs-

Just try to stay sane and not work yourself into the ground. It's only the very beginning of March, after all.

My brain's mush at this point of the day. Tip - just smile and nod. :)

17 hours in, I'd say that's very much understandable.

I wouldn't worry about missing Insomnia, since there's no sign at all that there'll ever be another Insomnia sale, or when it will be if GOG decides to do it again.
The last one was in the middle of May last year.
*good morning hugs and waves* It seems many people are busy this weekend, not many pages that I needed to read. Which is quite nice :D

Hello Moon, yes a very quiet day except from having an arguement with a fellow Aussie...

Good morning. =)

Yes, it's definitely been quiet. At one or two points, I'm fairly sure the sound of my screaming had a faint echo to it. ;)

How's your weekend been going?

The flash sales weren't bad, but three times in a row with the last two so close together...

On the other hand, some of them were so deliciously cheap.

Morning gunny there's something I've been wanting to ask a denizen from down under for some time.

Vegemite and Marmite: What's the difference?

Beware the dropbears.
