CarrionCrow: Saw that too. After the person's surprise gets mentioned, it says in parentheses that GOG's planning a surprise of its own for the 24th, something separate from the person doing the 12-hour stream.
Course, they've since edited that part out....
I swear, GOG's about as transparent as murky goddamned water in a fog bank sometimes. (Most times.)
j0ekerr: My two cents: I'm guessing a free game with a few games on sale on the side. I doubt they will start the new year sales before the actual new year.
CarrionCrow: Yay, it's last fight time for Shadowrun Returns.
Let's see, my character is a street samurai with a big-ass rifle, a spellslinger who can up her accuracy, her armor and her attack rate while throwing gigantic energy balls, and a shaman who can summon spirits to do her bidding.
I wonder who will win? -yawn-
j0ekerr: I'd like to see Crow's face when the shaman hax-summons Yog-Sothot or some other cthonian monstrosity, to tentacle rape his character.
Won't happen. My character IS the shaman slash mage slash marksman. -laughs-
Worst-case scenario, the spirit I just summoned goes berserk after a few rounds, then I put it down before going back to ventilating the boss. -laughs-
If you do it right, you can get a LOT of XP for your character in this game....
Also, it bears mentioning - when it comes to Shadowrun Returns? If you see someone who gets all kinds of hype, be it a great computer person, high-end fighter, whatever?
Expect disappointment. And I mean frigging BOATLOADS of disappointment. They will be shitty. They will be worse than your character. You will have to save their supposedly legendary asses from getting killed.
(Oh hey look....there's my character, with her high-end gun skills and her 5 actions a round, SAVING EVERYONE. I am both shocked and amazed at this turn of events....)
