To be honest... My little 2001 Saturn sc1, which is literally less that a foot off the ground, thought she could blast though a 4 foot snow/ice bank, was wrong. I'm so glad my car is stupid and not her driver...:)

To add to the story... the car that was stuck in front of my house... a brand effin new Mustang.

I have a lot of snow on the roof - about 8 inches. But my house is over 100 years old and has withstood 100 years of Ohio weather. Hasn't been replaced once. Solid.

My pipes, on the other hand, less solid... dammit.

It can vary from 30C to 45C,I'd have too cheat to get a so called average...
It's not the heat that kills us,it's the high to very high humidity..
We use a different name for the little buggas...

The place where I grew up was known for high humidity and air temps of 95-100 every summer. Both at the same time.

I guess my point was that things are changing. I'm 650 miles from there, and now summers are more like that now. I can grow a thing on my porch that I couldn't grow for the last decade here.

Oh, and gerbils...

The holy hell snow! is rather unusual for us. In my little middle of the county city... broke 4 records in a week. We would have broke more, but you can't break a record unless the record is more than 10 years old.

We broke 400 or so records (hot and cold) in the last 14 years.

And again, I say this will all the respect in the world... you live on an island.

I'm thinking... we'll save the people, the joeys, those cute little things that eat my face...

OK, not them... those are plague-baring gerbils....
