budejovice: I do hope it works out. I know a bunch of people bought on release.

I did enough instabuying this month with WB, Paradox, & Ys that I didn't consider it. But I'm glad people are chiming in and I hope the devs follow through...

CarrionCrow: It's pretty funny that virtually no one is mentioning the weekend sale.

Have those games hit a certain degree of saturation?
I may be talking out of my ass (what else is new?) but most of those games have been here a long time and it seems some of those are on sale every few minutes. The RollerCoaster games are ALWAYS discounted. I figured maybe everyone already has most of those. I know I do.

HypersomniacLive: I was about to ask if sleeping this much is normal, but apparently it's a good thing. Glad to hear she's slowing finding back to herself.
She does not normally sleep too much, probably like me and sleeps about 4-5 hours. But at the moment her body is quite weak, and so it needs all the rest it can get. She is quite the handful when she is awake, especially with her trying to tackle the stairs when she can hardly walk without sticks at the moment, but that just makes me smile as it's good to see her being her normal stubborn self. :-)

moonshineshadow: Awww. If you liked hugs I would give you one now. You always have such great pictures/cards. Thanks :-)

HypersomniacLive: You mean like this? :-)
That is awesome :D
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Hey, you're a terrible influence on our lovely Moon, do you know that? ;-P
Who is the worst influence: the one who is just trying to spread hugs and good feeling around the place, or the grumpy one who refuses the hugs? :-)

ddickinson: He is tricky when it comes to hugs. but if you go in from the left, and I take the right, we should be able to pin him and give him a big group hug. :-)

HypersomniacLive: Hey Crow! Did you get anything from the weekend promo?
Hey there, Hyper. Good evening. =)

Not yet, no. I'm at 25 of 30 at the moment. Might end up grabbing the last 3 that are on my list, might go with Paradox instead, might skip all of it and hold onto money for March.

As you can see, I haven't quite decided yet. -laughs-

How've you been doing?

Think I picked up the Tycoon games between an Insomnia and a bundle sale.

Wouldn't surprise me, a lot of games have been up for heavy sale repeatedly, like you said.

I have most of the games that appeal to me from the weekend promo. I like the idea of the sniper game, but from what I have read it's not for me, especially as it has randomly re-spawning enemies. Other than that the only game I am considering is the Chronicles of Riddick game, but I'm not too sure yet. Even if I decide to get it, I will probably just add it to my wishlist for when my backlog is in a better state.

How about you? Any game from the promo catch your eye? (nevermind, I see you answered it above).

In a vacuum, I'd probably snatch I-War 2 up in a second (I came close last time it was on sale, and that was before my shiny new flightstick...).

But I've been hmmmmming and hawwwwwwing on Caribbean. On the one hand, the previous buggy unfinished pirate game I played was also one of my favorites of all time. Plus, by biting the bullet I might be helping others (and myself!) eventually get to play an awesome fully featured game. Or worst case I might get a shot at playing the game before it's pulled (some of the "this is really an alpha / beta like build" has me nervous this could happen!).

On the other hand (and I know I feel a bit cheap for saying this!) I'm not thrilled by the idea of dropping the cash for an unfinished game I hadn't heard of before I saw it here a day ago LOL! The only reason I'd even consider it is because the concept of the game is just so in my wheelhouse (har har).

On the bright side, if I DO pick it up and it IS a buggy mess I might be able to regale this thread with some CarrionCrow-esque moments of gaming frustration that can only come from those games that are both oh so bad and oh so good all at once. ;)

That is a heavy saturation game to be sure. Never played it with a flight stick because of all the other stuff involved with communication, targeting, scanning, loading, unloading, etc.
*edit*

Paradox is also causing me to pause on purchases. While it isn't here (yet?!) Fallen Enchantress is one of my top "would love to play it but won't" games, due to DRM. If it ends up here you can bet I'd grab it in a heartbeat!

Buy it! :-)
Well I had better get some sleep as I have a long drive in the morning.

Goodnight, everyone! I hope you all have a good day and sleep well when you decide to call it a night.

* Goodnight hugs all around, especially in Hyper's direction :-) *

The one that tries to convince others to gang up on someone. ;-P

Ah interesting so due to the mass of the ship (not exactly a "twitch" flight engine) and the bevy of other tasks it is a game that flies and plays better with keyboard and mouse? Good to know!
