Did you forget all that water separating Brazil and England? :-)

budejovice: I have stayed at 10.7. I'm locked out of some newer games. Hammerwatch, Luftrausers, Grim Fandango, new Witcher 1 installer, new Papers Please installer (kept my old one thankfully) and quite a few more, with the list growing. Yet I'll save these games for the Windows system. I played around with 10.8 on a friend's computer and didn't like how it was trying to act like a mobile device (I'm sure everything could be changed) and haven't bothered investigating anything past that.

What are your thoughts on the newer systems? I don't use a smartphone and just want my computer to act like it does on 10.6 or 10.7! :)
I am also on 10.7. I have used Macs for a while, ever since I was at university, and I am not keen on my computer becoming just like iOS. I want my computer to be a computer, not a dumbed down smart phone. Yosemite looks horrible to me, they have made it look so childish. Nothing appealed to me in the other updates, all that changed was they stripped away a lot of the customisable elements and introduced more features from iOS. Which is sad, as it was supposed to be the other way around. So I have just stuck with 10.7 and am very happy with it. It does everything I need. I liked how Apple used to be, but for a long time now they care more about money than good design choices.

moonshineshadow: *big hug* thank you, that is really nice of you to say
And I mean every word. *return big hug*

I forgot to tell you that I do have one of the Raven books, I have Dawnthief somewhere boxed up in the attic. I will get it down at some point and give it a read and let you know what I thought. Are there many books in the Raven series?

LaPtiteBete: Hey Adalia !! :D How are you ?
I'll have a look for these symbols... it's cool. Thanks !
Not too bad thank you :)

CarrionCrow: Good evening. =)

How are you doing tonight?
Evening.
Not too bad just deciding whether I'll be staying up for much longer and whether it's worth starting anything...

All in all there are seven books. First three, then there is a bit of time in between, then the next three. And last one several years after that on the timeline. A book written to really finish the story, no going back any more :D

Sounds exciting.

Thinking of starting a game, or something else?

Sounds like they're heading further along the same path. It's nothing to celebrate, but it's good to know.

It's good news for my stock! But again, certainly nothing to be celebrated...

CarrionCrow: Last time I went was 8 or 9 years ago.

It was the time I got to watch Sin City with the theater all to myself.

Best theater experience ever. =)
That is the best... I remember seeing Pineapple Express in an empty theater... Wonderful experience :-)
It is one of the best joys in life.

It's good to hear it has an ending and is not just another series of endless books. I am at work tomorrow and away on Sunday, so I will probably dig it out next Sunday and start reading it then. If I like it then it's off to the local book shops to find the other books. Failing that I will just get them on the Kindle.

moonshineshadow: Seems like there are some people here who are not that interested in movies, which brings me to a question. What was the last film you went to a cinema to see it? Mine was the third part of Lord of the Rings.
I have no idea what mine was, it seems to have gone right out of my mind. It was a long time ago I know that. I think it might have been a screening of Princess Mononoke at a local cinema. It was not during the original screening phase, it was a few years afterwards. The cinema has a series of Anime movies on and I have always like the Studio Ghibli films. There could have been some since, but I really can't remember.
Hope you still want that hug.
Anyway,I was thinking of writing short stories. Maybe I'll start by doing fan fiction. It'll be hard to finally get the hang of it but hey,no one's born Arthur C. Clarke.
Maybe I'll begin on the X-universe. All I have to do is finish the games and read on it in the forum and other supplemental material.

That sounds like a good idea. *good luck hug*

Doing something you enjoy is always nice. You could also write some short stories about mythology and legends you have in Brazil. That way you can mix some fiction with real myths and legends. The advantage is that few people (relatively speaking) know about South American legends and mythology, and I am sure many would find it interesting. Plus it would give you a reason to read more mythology and history to get inspiration.

Well just whether to load up Lords of Xulima or do a bit of programming, but I don't think it's worth bothering as I can't see ua being up too much longer...

There's always tomorrow, unless you feel some strong urge to push yourself into staying up for some reason. =)

Well, as stupid as it sounds, the only reason I'm still up really is I'm too lazy to go to bed...it's a long way up stairs... XD
But in the mean time I'm just pissing about on the internet doing nothing important (except hanging out here of course ;) )

Been there. Done that. -laughs-

I know what you mean. For me, pissing around usually means checking out some Let's Play, putting music on, looking at Netflix.
Nothing exciting, nothing terribly interesting, just stuff to do stuff.

I was looking at the Hearts of Iron 1 manual yesterday and I thought of you.

I think that if enough people here buy the Paradox games, we could have a support group in the thread so everyone can figure out how to play the frigging things. =)
