EndreWhiteMane: All I've done today is 4 loads of laundry, 2 loads of dishes, gone to 3 stores, vacuumed, dusted and made dinner.
See? Being retired is FUN!!! :/

tinyE: Oh so you're playing The Escapists too! :D
Sounds like it doesn't it? :-)

OK, so CARIBBEAN! has 3 stars so far. But it's climbing the best sellers list already. WTF, over?
Of course the only review says it crashes, which is actually a matter for TS. Sheesh.

How is The Escapists? It looks intriguing, but I'm really put off by those system requirements. I mean... Really? Geforce 8000 or Radeon 4800 ? O__O

I don't have it yet but that is a bit absurd. Maybe TinyE has played it?

Okay so I'm drooling over this game too - do you know anything about it? I hadn't heard of it before today but it looks like a near carbon copy of a game I loved (Pirates of the Caribbean / Sea Dogs 2). I'd be a huge fan if anyone had any ideas / impressions based on my questions here

Probably going to edit this post ten times to get that link to work... LOL ;)

Good job, first try! :-)
All I know is it was surprise release from what was considered an unfinished alpha stage. And that the dev has promised 'future improvements' which is pretty scary. I'll wait awhile and see.
I would like to get SeaDogs2/POTC but looks like I'll have to find a copy somewhere, the price on Amazon is outrageous.

I'm loving it but I seem to be alone.

While I still wish I could slow it down (people move around so damn fast) it's getting better. Now when I want to speak to a specific person I wait until meal time, that way the guy is sitting down and I don't have to chase him across the yard.

Basically get use to a slow process and like me you might find yourself screwing around a lot at first and then starting over just to learn the map and figure out all the different hiding places.

AND WHATEVER YOU DO!...
DON'T MISS ROLL CALL! The won't nail you for not being there but they will announce cell inspections and that's the only way you know to hide your contraband.

I'd also recommend not skimping on your job as I just got fired, but that does allow me more time for raiding other peoples cells and digging.

LOL thanks for noticing. I couldn't wait for someone to respond so I could mention how shocked I was to see the thing come out correctly first go!

I kept my original XBOX copy even after I got rid of the console, but alas it never got the "patch treatment" needed to make it backwards compatible with my (then) new 360. :( I'm hoping to start seeing impressions on this one because *fingers crossed* it looks like it could be close...

Your tips list makes the game sound like "Animal Crossing: San Quentin"

"Also, be sure to avoid the showers when Big Bob is in there."

To be fair I just started. I wish more people would get into it so I could talk about it more. :D

It runs OK on your system? Agent was wondering about the high requirements.

We are talking about the prison escape game right?

It's only 80 MB. I don't understand tech very well so that spec list is alien to me, but this thing should run on a calculator, and it does look it. :P

It actually looks and sounds a lot like the original NES Zelda.

Thanks, it just has stupidly high specs for the video card.
I'll make sure AgentBirdnest sees this, he seems to have disappeared at the moment.

Now I'm worried because it's not a cheap game and if one of you hate it you're going to come after my ass. :P
I'm slowly regaining my PC gaming interest.
Played some X3 and Killing Floor.
