So, if you guys were to recommend one single game, from all of GOG's current catalog, for me to play on Christmas, what would that be?

Favorite genres are Sim & Strategy, but I love them all. What would you have me play?

I'll probably just decide on something Win-only that has been tickling my fancy for a long time, since I now have a modest windows machine going at home, or spend more time with some of the bigger games I've gotten in to recently. But I still am curious about the game that is special to you. At worst I'll move it from my backlog's backlog to my backlog. And FYI, the windows laptop only has integrated graphics & 2GB RAM.

I love having the whole catalog at my playing hands now. Spent most of my gaming time over the weekend on Port Royale. It was fun. :)

We could start gifting you from the very worst GOG has and work our way up. That way it would be unlikely you have any of them! Bwah ha ha

I love a good mixture of games, most genres. The biggest genre of games I have on GOG are point-and-click games, one of my all time favourite type of games, especially the older ones (like Simon the Sorcerer and I have no mouth and I must scream).

Zombie Shooter. It's easy to learn, it'll run on your laptop, and when you play it you'll feel festive since your screen will be nice and red. ;)

I hope it's nothing too serious. Although, I did tell you to put some clothes on, that scarf isn't enough, try a nice wooly jumper and of course, some pants. :-)

Appreciate the recommendation! I would probably prefer to discover them in order and I don't yet have the first Gothic. On the wishlist of course.

It's not something I'd do without heavy recommendations, but would you start at 2? And if so, why?

And just so you know, I still have a code for Fist Puncher that I got stuck with during the mutator sale. Don't think I wouldn't use it on you! :-)

(If the code wasn't attached to an expensive game (3 games on 1 code), I would have given it away weeks ago.)

Are you normally Mac or Linux? If Linux I'd recommend King's Bounty: The Legend. Just started it but it's a wonderful game so far. RPG/Strat/Fantasy

Normally Mac. I have an ~2012 MBP i5 w/ 4GB RAM as the machine that has done most of my GOGing this year.
