CarrionCrow: Good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone. =)

Hopefully the day's going well for you all, and that people freezing their asses off will be keeping their frostbite potential as low as possible.
avatar
ddickinson: Good morning, Crow!

How is one of my all time favourite Americans doing today?

*morning hug*
Not a lot of exposure to Americans in general? -laughs-

Can't complain here. Saw that GOG's trying to push my wishlist over 200, that's always pros and cons.
I always prefer more good games, but I'm going to need a few really big sales to afford them all.

How's your day been so far?

ddickinson: How has your day been Owl? Do you have anything nice planned for this evening?
Not bad... I finish a little work here, and I go pick up the owlets in a few minutes (the big one at school, then the little one at her nanny's... [she's our neighbour !]).
No special plans... Taking care of the owlets, then throw them in bed, finish another little work, eat something, take a shower... and finally enjoy my lonely and peaceful evening (I'm alone tonight). :-) I'll probably hang out here... and watch a movie or two meanwhile... go to sleep too late, as usual...
What about you ?

My day is going well. How about yourself?
Doing okay here, thank you. Just checked my list, turns out (if I did the math in my head right), I need 2,300 dollars to clear it out immediately, or I need 575 dollars and one hell of a 75 percent off sale. -laughs-

LaPtiteBete: Hi, CC !! Hope you're doing well ? :)
Another few pots of coffee and I'll be good, I think. ;)

Yeah...needless to say, I won't be purchasing all 190 items at full price any time soon. -laughs-

You're in luck, the coffee just finished brewing. =)

While I know very few Americans, I have been exposed to enough of them to know how bad some are, and out of all the Americans I know, the ones I have met on GOG are among my favourites.

Was it the new JRPGs that are tempting you to increase your wishlist?

My day had been fine, thank you. Just another dull day stuck inside doing paperwork and making phone calls. Next week I am back outside and back to normal work, which will be nice. I do enjoy spending the time with my mother, but she spends much of the day sleeping, so I get a little restless cooped up indoors all day.

I'm sorry to hear you are spending the evening alone. At least you have this place to hang out if you feel like some silly conversations. :-) *big hug*

I have nothing fancy planned tonight. Just finish work, help my partner prepare the food for dinner, then get a shower while it is cooking, then a nice evening at home. When my partner goes to bed I will probably spend a few hour on here with the other lovely people while playing a game.

Between those, Paradox, Warner Brothers and Lucasarts, definitely.

You're doing a good thing caring for her. Hopefully the time will go a bit faster so you can get back to what you prefer.
I may need some help...

I've had this song stuck in my head since snowkatt made this thread and then I watched the episode of How I Met Your Mother today where they sing it at the end, so I played it to get it out of my head.
Then I remembered I'm a sucker for a good a cappella song and I'm on my 6 or 7 listen to the song.... :/

It is only due to her new medication working better that I am going back to my normal work. If it was a choice over sitting indoors being bored but caring for her, then that would win hands down every time. I am used to it, especially after caring for her when she was first really ill many years ago and also caring for my grandmother at the same time as she was dying. Luckily my mum is well enough to be left alone, with us all popping in throughout the day to check on her. We have also made sure everything she needs is on the ground floor, so she would be fine. She is still very tired and sleeps a lot, which is fine, it means her body is resting and concentrating on repairing itself.

But I am looking forward to being outdoors again and starting work on the second greenhouse.

Here you go. For fast relief, I suggest putting the video to 30:51 and starting there. Repeat as needed. =)

I have no doubt that it would be. Can't really envision you running off to do whatever while she needed you.

Hehe, that might just work. It is a pretty awesome soundtrack alright. I tend to miss out on most game music these days because I play with the volume off usually..

I couldn't do that to any of my family or friends. It's just not in my nature.

But I'm not complaining, we all just deal with the hand we are dealt with in life. I have had a lot of crap, but then I am very lucky in other regards. I have a job I love, a wonderful family, and an awesome partner. I would gladly suffer all the hardship I have suffered so far in exchange for having them with me.

I tend to as well, but that soundtrack is ridiculous in just how good it is.

My suggestion would be to only listen to the actual game music, though. As soon as actual singers get involved, the quality goes south in a BIG hurry. I end up switching back to the part of the soundtrack that's good. -laughs-

Not to sound over dramatic, but getting stabbed and very nearly dying (not an over exaggeration, it was an extremely close thing whether I would pull through or not) tends to put people in the right perspective in life. Shortly after my attack I had to deal with more unfortunate stuff that was just as life shattering for me, but all of which made me realise what is important in life and to not let the little things get to me. Life is way too short for any of that.

That doesn't sound overly dramatic. Just honest.
