l0rdtr3k: *hug* Next month I'll get my first paycheck :D
Gonna spend it on some 3DS games and comics. It's weird that some years ago people would cast me aside because I like "childish" stuff.
Glad I joined this thread.

ddickinson: I'm sure I don't know what you mean. I am a sweet, innocent, and chaste farm girl. :-)

Plus I know you are only playing, so don't worry about us actually believing you are a dirty old man. You sir, are nothing but a gentleman softie. *big hug*

Some people are judgmental idiots. Sorry you've had to deal with them.
And that's not counting the people that thought I worshiped Satan because I play Magic and D&D.
I worship Cthulhu,thank you very much :D

I've been in that exact same boat. You have my sympathies.

May the same fate that befell the person who tried that bullshit with me befall those who've tried it with you. =)

Additional - It sucks when you wait a long time for a sequel, and the sequel turns out to be total crap.
With sequels, it tends to be expected, but dear gods, this movie is bad enough that I'm going to shut it off halfway through. Not up for another 50 minutes of crap.

Also, it bears mentioning that gratuitous use of female nudity still isn't nearly enough to actually sit through the thing.
Either I'm some aberrant example of the male gender, or the movie's really that shit. -laughs-

EndreWhiteMane: What movie?
The sequel to Sin City.

The original was definitely cheesy at times, but it was a far better movie than the sequel.
Funnily enough, it seems that someone in charge knew that the sequel was shit, hence the aforementioned nudity. -laughs-

Sequels that suck? Do you mean Command & Conquer 3 onwards, Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, and lord know how many other ones? :-)

Well, I couldn't say for Starcraft 2, but definitely Diablo 3. Command and Conquer 3 and its expansion were mediocre, but not absolutely horrible.
They saved that for Command and Conquer 4.

C&C 3 was okay, until all the alien stuff. I have not played any since then, but from what I have seen of C&C 4, I'm glad. I hated what they did to StarCraft 2, and how they made Kerrigan just another weak little girl who needed a man (Raynor) to come save her. They also chose not to use the original voice for her, instead going for some celebrity, which the old fans hated. How could they turn her from Queen of the Galaxy, to another naked weak woman desperate for the protection of her big strong man, yuch. The story was just horrible and no part of the new games appeals to me at all. Which is a shame, as I loved StarCraft 1 and Brood War, two of my all time favourite strategy games. I'm glad I don't do DRM, as I would have probably wasted money on the first StarCraft 2 game. Luckily I have a few friends who played it and filled me in with the horrible changes, and after seeing it in action it's definitely not for me. I hate how they keep ruining all these old games with sequels or remakes.

I always knew you were smart.
Not only did it kill the fun, the alien attack killed the frame rate! Could they possibly jam more crap onto the screen?!

It just spoiled it all. The levels themselves were not that good to begin with, like the first mission for NOD. Why was such a vital GDI base that controls the space station protection grid so under-guarded? The gameplay was okay, and the story was acceptable for a newer C&C game, but the aliens just took it too far. I was interested to see how it all ended, especially after all those years of enjoying the franchise, but I could never bring myself to keep playing that franchise after the whole alien thing, even if it was DRM-free.
Back to work now. But first, a hug to everyone present in the thread.

I played C&C 3 gold beginning to end, enjoyed it, uninstalled it, and moved on.

I played the original Command & Conquer game a month or so ago. I found a mod to give it a better resolution and to remove those horrible black lines from the videos. I had forgotten how great that first game was. It's probably still my favourite of the entire series. Before EA got to Westwood and it became just a joke.

If you ever get the hankering there is fantastic installer for the original RA 1. Of course you need the disc and it doesn't help improve the movies but it makes the original campaign fantastic on newer systems.

I have all of the original games on one DVD, DRM free. :-)

It hall all of them up to C&C 3, even the fun FPS game, Renegade. I might just give RA 1 a replay soon, that was another great game, and the secret ant missions were fun. The DVD version I have has no real problem working on Windows 7 64-Bit. I can play all the games without issue.
