I heard sirens, since sound carries a really long distance out here, but I don't think the person died.
Not sure if it's extreme good luck or what, but usually when people out here screw up, they get carted off to the hospital and that's that.

I just saw the new opening post for the weekly TBBO whatever giveaway... and that gave me a question. Anyone else here who always feels the need to post something there just because they are writing "Do not post here"? I never do, but I have this itch to do so :D
