CarrionCrow: Yay for idiots who drive at high speeds, lose control of their cars and tear up power poles, power poles that become ever so slightly more important when you live in the frigging middle of nowhere...
Frigging hours to fix this crap...I swear. -shakes head-
LaPtiteBete: Glad to see you back, CC... !!!
I hope your idiot is not too seriously injured, also :-|
How are you going ??
Thank you. =)
I heard sirens, since sound carries a
really long distance out here, but I don't think the person died.
Not sure if it's extreme good luck or what, but usually when people out here screw up, they get carted off to the hospital and that's that.
Much happier now that the power's back on. =) How has your day been?
CarrionCrow: A bit mindboggling, to be sure. "i can totally do that, no problem!"
No. No you can't. The other senseless illiterate people couldn't, and neither can you.
You're just going to get yourself mangled.
tinyE: With regard to power lines, in all fairness the last time we had a major outage because of a car, it was not only a good friend of ours but the guy who built our B&B. :P In his defense it was in one hell of a blizzard and I guess he "missunderstimated" the distance between the back bumper of his truck and the power pole.
Okay, to me? That's an actual accident. Shit happens, no one's perfect, and so it goes.
But people who are acting like imbeciles for kicks? What happens to them doesn't strike me as accidental so much as inevitable.
