I've never been a fan of football and those big screens in places where people want to eat, drink and talk are terrible. They should play classic old movies instead, if they must have the screens.

Good think I brought my IPad. At least I can play Pokémon TCG online and Minecraft and since it's cold I'll need hugz to warm up.

Yay for idiots who drive at high speeds, lose control of their cars and tear up power poles, power poles that become ever so slightly more important when you live in the frigging middle of nowhere...

What I don't get is that it's the SAME FUCKING TURN EVERY TIME! Oh they put up signs and the body counts speak for themselves but every year we get people up here who seem to think they posses some driving acumen that the last 50 people to get killed on a particular curve were bereft of.

With regard to power lines, in all fairness the last time we had a major outage because of a car, it was not only a good friend of ours but the guy who built our B&B. :P In his defense it was in one hell of a blizzard and I guess he "missunderstimated" the distance between the back bumper of his truck and the power pole.

I heard sirens, since sound carries a really long distance out here, but I don't think the person died.
Not sure if it's extreme good luck or what, but usually when people out here screw up, they get carted off to the hospital and that's that.

Much happier now that the power's back on. =) How has your day been?
