Anyway, my night lords warband is not what it used to be. I haven't invested in warhammer or 40K since the 5th edition. And I've converted most of my models to serve as big mech suits for 15mm Stargrunt...

I started out with the blood angels at first, but the gods have enlightened me since...

Well to be fair, i stopped really following 40K some time ago once they started ruining it all (for reasons that are beyond me). So for me I will keep it as I remember it, not what those idiots are making it. Their attitude to the lore especially is annoying, and how they are treating their older customers is terrible. Luckily I was more a fan of the lore than the models, not that I did not have fun playing the game with my brothers, but the table top game was their thing mainly, I was quite happy getting immersed in the good old lore, not this new stuff over the last few years. :-)

I told you that you should have tried the spiders. :-)

I might indeed, but it kind of depends on my test results on Friday. At the moment it is not looking good, but I will know more on Friday. I am still hopeful, I am not feeling great, but I am definitely not feeling bad enough to not go. If all goes well I will be going away for about a week for our first wedding anniversary, which will be lovely.

The pricing of new untis on their site is hallucinating. I just bought a few boxes of airfix dudes and vehicles at Ground Zero Games's site. The rules for Stargrunt are far cleaner too.

But I loved reading The Gaunt's Ghosts series of novels, Eisenhower and other such works. My elder Brother even has quite a few of the old Inferno short story collections lying arround (and a necromunda ladies-only wargang).

And I've considered every now and then starting a good old "Rogue Trader" campaign in one of the RPG systems we use with the lads...

But it's sad that they treat the richness they've got the way they do.

Were would you be going to might I indulge asking? I really hope you can have that trip and enjoy a good while away and unworried with your partner! ;)

They do seem to think their plastic models are actually made out of gold, or at least you would think so given how much they now charge. :-)

I enjoy the 40K books, they are my guilty pleasure. :-)
Although I prefer the Imperial Guard novels (including those you mentioned). And to be honest, the newer novels are just meh, and getting worse. They are too expensive, and really lack any kind of effort. They seem to be just cashing in on a few areas and leaving so much unexplored.

I don't actually know where I am going, it is a surprise. I do know my partner will be getting me a shorty wetsuit, so it will be somewhere that offers surfing or diving, so that should be nice. But I won't find out where until I am at the airport, at least.

As I said, Endre is free today. ;-)

I am doing okay, thank you. I found out some more about where I might be going if all goes well with my results on Friday. It will be somewhere cooler, and it involves me getting a shorty wetsuit, so somewhere with surfing or diving. But other than that I still have no clue. If I get the all clear we will be going shopping next week for some clothes for the trip, so I need to decide on what colour wetsuit I want. :-)
