Hello nice people of Fred how are you doing tod...

Oh dear, Hell seems to have frozen over. And every single damned soul is having ice cream.

EA is on GOG!

Which is kind of an acknowledgment that Origin has tanked harder than a Baneblade dropped from orbit.

So... What have I missed?

PS: The San Fermines (aka; the running of the bulls) is officially over and I am very sad. At having missed the chance to start a betting pool on how many gorings there'd be.

*adds simcity 3000 to his wishlist*
Just another quick "hello" to all you lovely people. I hope you're all having the best day possible.

Sarge and I basked out back a bit, and then I was able to get my turntable working right again. Was convinced last night I'd damaged it, but some re-balancing / setting of the tonearm and all seems well. Hooray for that :)

Sorry I'm not more interactive (I meant to reply / interact with more of you earlier, but was distracted away by the monster, and I'm having a hell of a time focusing on much of anything today.)

Much love to all of you, and I hope you all have the loveliest of days. I'm off to listen to this new Eluvium collection while I figure out what in the world I'm going to wear to a funeral service tomorrow. Other than what I considered my "court outfit" in my teens, I don't exactly have anything dressy in my closet, and I'm not exactly skilled at cleaning up... I just always know my jeans and TMNT t-shirt are not appropriate attire for occasions like this. Time to go digging through old drawers, I think.

Gotta admit, I was a bit shocked to see some EA games make it to GOG today. Pretty awesome. :)

*big hugs all around*
Aeyeaha!

That's all I can muster at the moment :P
How have you all been?
Just off the plane after about 9,75 hours of sitting in a plane and a car ride. Couldn't sleep at all. But watched nearly 3 movies and half-way the 4th... It's 10 p.m. where I left, but only 6 p.m. in Finland... kinda disoriented ;)

oh yeah, one recommendation before I pass out :) If people like feel-good comedies, Eddie the Eagle is just... I don't have words for that movie. It's... went to my top 20 of all-time best movies :)

Greetings and good day to everyone!
Hope you are all well and happy, and enjoying your day to day. :)

All is well here for me, thankfully.

I see the new EA releases, Dragon Age Origins complete is an instabuy packages, if you don't
already have it in your collection. I have it on disk, but am thinking about getting it again here.

<big waves and silly hugs for everyone>
Yaaarrrrr the ninja lady with all the moonshine does it again. Helped by a nefarious Crow, they teamed up to gift me while I wasn't looking.

Ahoy mateys, prepare the +1 cannons!
Hello to everyone I haven't seen here yet today!

And it appears all the games I'd like to run on the windows pc run fine. Hooray for that.

edit:

Dragon Age appears to be rather legendary...

RPGs don't normally sparkle my interest, and seeing the name Bioware gave me a bitter reflux tied to the memory of a game called mass effect, so i think I'll pass it by.

Dead Space is a game I can recommend though... It's not actually scary but more sort of... interesting

How are you all liking the new releases, see anything you like?

*hugs and waves*
Not really interested in Sim City. But have the other 2 games on the console.

Here be cannibals!

Good evening, all the new arrivals!

So, any thoughts on Dragon Age or Dead Space? The latter looks more appealing to me out of the two, as I am not the biggest RPG fan, but I have also heard some good things about Dragon Age.

Dead Space is fun enough. I wouldn't call it a horror game (or even "scary") but it has a bit of an athmosphere, some interesting stuff going on and some of the environments and ideas are pretty neat.

Despite the game being rather linear, they do manage to keep objectives varried and interesting. there is good enemy and (especially) weapon variety and some other stuff to spend money on such as upgrades etc.

For the most part you get stranded on a slightly derelict mining ship that has unearthed something spooky, and most of the team with you gets instantly eviscerated. you try to puzzle together a makeshift escape and bring some vital systems back online in the face of big threats while trying to survice and while the big picture comes into view (mostly through radioed dialogue with some other people who get spread out over the ship in the initial onslaught.

that's as good a description as I can give. the game might not be revolutionary, but I kept me entertained and busy, if not quite on the edge of my seat. That's hard enough to achieve for such a game as is ;)
