Ixamyakxim: Thanks, good impressions! I like that you called it "challenging" (I'm guessing both from a story AND gameplay standpoint?). I like the idea that there's enough to "play" that it can cause failure on my part. I think a lot of my fear with the game has to do with the fact that it might be me just along for the ride, click click clicking but not really having an impact.
The story is just kinda... everything that happens in front of you. There is not exactly a written story that you follow through the game. I think that the decisions you make are the story. Watching your survivors starve and die is the story. The survivors do each have a journal with a paragraph of background information though, and they occasionally write more about themselves, or what is happening in the shelter. And it does feel pretty brutal. And yes, the gameplay is challenging. You will never have enough supplies, and your survivors will never be fully healthy and well rested. And yeah, I wouldn't call it a ride - you are almost always doing something. You can't really step away from the computer without pausing.
So... I do recommend it, but if you aren't sure, you may wanna wait for the next sale, because I don't think it is for everyone.

ddickinson: I have a feeling that saying is somewhat older than Star Trek. Those silly Klingon stealing quotes. :-)
It definitely is. Although i've read that the origin of it is somewhat disputed among historians. But i still like that particular scene :) And yes those naughty klingons tend to steal a lot of stuff - even Shakespeare *gasp* :)

That is most likely, some sayings are very old and it is hard to really track down the origins of them. And yes those naughty klingons tend to steal a lot of stuff - even Shakespeare *gasp* :)
So Klingons are just plagiarists? :-)

I think I had better try to get some sleep. Have a lovely night, everyone. Take care, and I hope you have a great weekend.

The cool thing about reading this thread right after waking up is that it's kinda like still being asleep and dreaming about strange things. :-)
I wanna see Crow fly and ELT drill a hole in his knee.

Yep. Which is sometimes really unfortunate because it would be interesting to see why that sayins were coined :) So Klingons are just plagiarists? :-)
