adaliabooks: Not really that I'm aware of, they're usually free games that I've played, although ADOM has a version coming out on Steam I believe, but I think it has tiles and normal graphics.

My day's been fine, had some annoying paperwork to do but it's sorted now.

How about you?
I know how annoying paperwork can be. :-)

My day has been okay. I am spending another week looking after my mum, due to her medication disagreeing with her. I love that I can spend the time with her, but I prefer to work outdoors and not cooped up inside. I will be glad when my mum is a bit better and I can go back to working in the cold and rain. :-)

Also, since Moon let you off with it. *hug*
No one escapes the conversation free-for-all hug tradition. :-)

Get back! Don't make me get my poking stick :P

Sorry she's still not well, I can understand preferring to work outdoors (not that I technically work outdoors, but almost) as it is much more pleasant than being inside. Can't say I'd rather be out in the cold and the rain though... but it's quite nice today.

Unfortunately it will be a slow recovery for my mum, probably a few months. The medication they originally gave her made her sick (literately) all the time, so we had to get it changed. She should be okay with us popping in during the day once the medication is sorted, so at least we can all go back to work for the most part.

I know what you mean about working outdoors (and I would class your job as outdoors but with a bit of luxury :-)). It must be nice meeting all those people and seeing them enjoy your pizzas, and even better when they come back for more. :-)

Well hopefully she'll be feeling better and you'll be working outside again soon and everyone wins :)

Yeah, our roaring wood fire is the envy of the other traders when we are out :D
It's always nice when people come to tell you they enjoyed the pizza, or have another. I'm not keen when they stand at the counter and eat though, just in case they don't actually like it XD (but that never happens because are pizzas are delicious)

Good... whatever, everyone! (I've lost track of time, and have no intention of finding it again...)

Just wanted to say hi to everyone, tip my imaginary hat, and wish everyone a good day.

I'm sure they taste great. I often find that outdoor stalls/venues/vans (what ever you want to class them all as), make some wonderful food, and often the people running them are really friendly and down to earth (most are like you, small self-employed businesses, not like the bigger corporate ones who treat customers like crap). The wood fire is also a very good selling point, and I'm sure they give the pizzas a unique taste, just like cooking over coal does.

As I said earlier, there will be none of this avoiding the conversation free-for-all hugging tradition.

*gives Agent a rib cracking big hug* :-)

Good day, Agent!

How is my charming American friend doing today?

Yeah, most of the other traders we meet make really good stuff. There are a few chip vans and burger vans that are still doing greasy sandwiches and chips and things like that but they're rare at most of the things we've done.

Wood fired pizzas are the best. Normal pizza is delicious, but wood fired pizza is 10 times better. There is a bit of the smoke, but it's mostly just that it's so hot, and the stone base of the oven makes the pizza's really crisp on the outside while still being soft and chewy in the middle.

Howdy!

Time is a human concept, everywhere else in the Universe there is only change...
(edited to add) everywhere that is uninhabited by non-terrestrial, non-human time measuring beings,
however, measuring time is useful for some things, such as gaming for instance.

In time

measurement
by minutes seconds and hours
our lives
with the sun moon and stars
the seasons
on weeks months and years
a calendar

existence
by past present and future
our being
through growth and change
the path
in beginning and ending
a lifetime

cognizance
of the universe and its movements
a journey
through eternity and immortality
the secret
counting fleeting moments
our bane

An old poem of mine, in case you were wondering... ;)

I bet it smells lovely passing your van, and even better stopping by to try some pizza. I love the smell of the different cooking at outdoor events. Some vans, like the poorly maintained burger vans and chip vans can have an overpowering smell of grease, but most are fine.

You always make me hungry for some home made pizza :-). But I must admit, one of my favourites has to be battered fish and chips (or battered spam and chips) from a good quality fish and chip van/shop. I guess it's the boring English answer, but that's one of my favourite meals. This could be partly due to nostalgia, as me and my future partner would enjoy a nice chip shop dinner on Fridays while at college.

Hi, back from the doctors, he said I was fat. I said I want a second opinion. He said OK, you're ugly too!

Anyway nice poetry, hi everyone, and Moon, I really want to hear you say something mean. Can't imagine you having a single mean bone in your body.

Another note for those considering Brutal Legend, there is a twitch stream at 7pm GMT if you didn't see the announcement.

That is all. :-)

Your doctor said what!? Right, that's it, let me get my coat and I will be right over to have a word with him. :-)

But seriously, I hope everything went okay at the doctors?

Oh I see how it is! Moon doesn't have a mean bone at all, yet I get all the comments about people been scared of me and thinking I hit people all the time. That doesn't sound fair to me. :-)

Well you should stop being so scaring and threatening to hit people and shoot them with your bow then ;)

Nothing wrong with Fish and Chips (as long as it's good stuff, fresh chips and good fish with nice crisp batter) especially if it's a tradition :)

We've been living off pizzas for a few days (had them for dinner Saturday and Sunday, and lunch today) as we had stuff left over from trading Saturday morning and it's (much) better than wasting it.

What do I do that is scary?

And besides, I may say I feel like hitting people (like my partner's obnoxious family), but I rarely do so. And as for my longbow, I am a very good shot, and I have yet to hit anyone, so that should tell you that I have never fired it at a person, or an animal. :-)

You are right about Fish and Chips. If you find a nice place then it tastes great, but find a low quality place and it's horrible. I guess the same could be said about any food.

I don't blame you for having your home made wood fire pizzas for a few days. I bet they are still tasty after several days. :-)
