The new Steam recent/overall rating system is revealing some of that crap for what it really is. Get the fanbois out of the way and let the judging begin! :-)
I'm actually going to leave this Switchblade Symphony album up to listen to in the morning, as I believe a sleep window may have just opened. I'm going to try and take it while I can. :)

You're quite welcome, Endre! Thanks moon for reminding me I can spy on more Steam wishlists! ;)

Good night, lovely Fred. Sweet dreams!

EndreWhiteMane: What's the man with the red eye up to tonight?
Just got back up and running. Before that, sitting here sweating my ass off, doing everything possible to try to make the modem work.
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: Well, that's no fun. :-(
avatar
moonshineshadow: Yeah. Must be quite annoying.
Yes, it really, really is. Considered taking a hammer to the device more than once. -laughs-

Well you got here in time to tuck me in, that's what counts! :-)

Good night all, I have an early day tomorrow.

If nothing else, I do have impeccable timing. ;)

Have a good night, sleep well, and good luck with tomorrow. =)

NoNewTaleToTell: I find that genre plays a big part of that, for me anyway. RPG or GTA-clone/sandbox offering hundreds of hours worth of gameplay? HECK YEAH! Point & Click adventure game? OH NO! But yeah, overall I definitely prefer a short, tight all around strong game over a long up and down game nowadays. A good example is The Cat Lady, you can finish it in an afternoon but it doesn't waste a single bit of its length.

Anyway, good time of day folks!

For anybody wanting to delve into the wonderful world of 90s darkwave heroes Switchblade Symphony, their second album Bred and Jam For Francis has been made available on Bandcamp, joining their debut album there. Switchblade Symphony was a wonderful mishmash of classic goth, industrial, ethereal rock, trip hop with the occasional touch of opera and pop. https://switchbladesymphony.bandcamp.com
Good evening. =)

Interesting, will have to check the music out. Thank you.

How've you been doing?

Hi all!

My Steam wishlist is a mile long, and most of them are discounted pretty heavily right now and I am sobbing... :P There's so many, it's hard to know what I want and to narrow it down.

Hey there :)

I've been doing pretty decent overall, can't complain about TOO much haha. How about you? Any interesting/terrible games on your platter?

-laughs- That's good, glad to hear it. =)

Right now, it's Dex, Contradiction, Darkest Dungeon and I don't even know what else. The last bit will come to me when impulse strikes.

Sure. =) If you like, you can add me as a friend on Steam. Same name, look for the big red eyeball, can't miss it.

Thanks! I've sent you a request, I'm on there all the time. :)
Good early morning, lovely people of Fred!

So, it seems like the UK will most likely be leaving the EU (by about a million votes, I think it is), which is a result I am a little surprised at given the predictions of us remaining. A very worry time ahead I guess, with repercussions for the entire EU, as other nations will no doubt want to follow and have their own votes to leave. And while many are angry and blame the UK, the responsibly of blame goes on Brussels, to the EU itself, who has continued to ignore the people in favour of its own corrupt interests and those of the big corporations, that is why so much anti-EU sentiment has spread throughout all corners of the EU.

Good morning. =)

It's looking like a huge mess to come, with no idea when it will be resolved, or how.

Good morning!

I agree, a very scary mess to come. But sadly one that would have happened sooner or later, due to how the EU is. Distain for the EU is quite high among most member states, and the EU showed no signs of changing anything. I think the UK will the target for a lot of hate and anger, but I feel that anger should be directed at those who forced the people to vote as they did, it should be aimed at an EU that for far too long has been corrupt, and cared little for the people, only their own wealth and keeping big corporations happy. I guess it depends on the EU now. We can still work closely together, just not be a part of it. If they behave like adults the damage might be kept to a minimum as we can still trade and be allies, if however they behave like children and cut their nose off to spite their face, then the effects could be very bad for the EU and possibly the global market.

I don't know nearly enough about the subject to have any kind of in-depth discussion with you regarding who's to blame ultimately.
But I did come to a similar conclusion regarding trade when CNN was talking about them negotiating deals with all the different union members. That could go well, or it could get really, really ugly and vindictive.
